HI All..

Warning about using adsense.. on your sites..

After being with adsence for over 7 years.. and never having a problem....

I woke up to my account the other day being disabled...

So I put in an appeal... saying I have no idea why they close my account...

I had adsense on over 30 domains for over the past 3-4 years. with out issues..

I have never clicked on the ads on my sites and I have never got anyone to click the ads for me..

I use to make $5-$10 per day on my adsense account but over the past 3-4 year I have not done much with it at all so
my income dropped down to $2-$3 per day.. some times even less...

I got an email today saying we can not re-activate your adsense account and thanks for understanding lol...

Understanding... what **** did I do wrong... is it my fault if a visitor to one of my sites goes crazy and clicks on my ads a lot / many times...

And you asked me to send you ip/ traffic logs and more info // how can i do this if you will not tell me the website that had an issue.. LOL

well guess what adsense.. you can eat my butt... I will replace your crappy ads with something else.

What would have made this worse is if I worked on my sites 7-10 hours per day and was making $3k-$5k per day and they can rip your income from under you
without warning.... well I have read alot of threads in forums about this... but I always thought those people that had their accounts closed click their own ads
or had friends click their ads....

Now I know that is not the case cause I know for 100% I did not click any ads nor did I get anyone to click my ads...

Looks like I may have to find my competitors and click their ads for a week.. and get some accounts closed...

What a joke...

Thanks for sharing this. This is a definite reminder to me of the old adage, "don't put all your eggs in one basket." Not saying you did or are but it reminds me not to rely on one method of monetizing with domains and websites.

Same thing happened to a good friend of mine about 2 years back on his forums, lucky he wasn't really to bothered about making money as it was his hobby. Good luck finding something else, probably is the best bet if you can pull it off.

That sucks completely.

I like CJ personally. Never had any issues with them.
Much better ads and system.

G[][]G just seems to have gotten too big for their own
good.... or our own good.

Somebody click-bombed your sites.

This happened to me, and I appealed and WON, but it took several months. Google did return all my earnings to me.

In my appeal, I pointed out that my 5-year history had been pristine and that I would never click on my own ads (which I never would, even when I'm away from my regular IP; I go by the "do unto others" rule).

Appealing is definitely worth a try.

Good luck!

I have always wondered whether putting Adsense on more than 10 domains, will be flagged as an Adsense "farm", and you will get the axe sooner or later.

I also wonder whether if your niche site/forum has a loyal following (like Namepros), so the Adsense clickers would have been coming from the same people with the same IP address over and over again.

Good point .... about misguided loyalties. Nothing I do but I had not thought about the potential.

It makes sense (pardon the pun) on G[][]G's part and it would be abuse easily detected. Too bad G[][]G doesn't consider giving publishers a chance to correct such an issue. But then again .... how would you stop an "A" hole from being an "A" hole? Anyone spamming your ads knows what they are doing ...wouldn't they?

Not the first time I've heard about this happening. From what I've read in the past you have better luck of hitting the lottery than winning an appeal with Google. It's pretty crappy how they run the Adsense program, rather than penalizing the publishers they should penalize those who are clicking multiple ads!

that's the problem with adsense. Some of my friends, that's not fraudulent, has given up on playing front front with adsense. They just sign up with more and more accounts.

Curiously, out of 4 adsense accounts I manage, some has been around for almost a year 8 months earning $1k to $3k each. I wouldn't reject some extra pocket money :)

Try google affiliate network. It works better. And cpa.

I had this happen to me awhile back on my Sedo account. They closed my account without warning and snatched up all my previous earnings. When I asked for more details they couldn't tell me anything other than one of their affiliates reported spam traffic. I guess they have a zero tolerance policy.

I still have no idea what site caused this problem. I'm guessing it was from a domain I acquired at TDAM.

I understand that they have to protect their clients that are paying for the clicks, but it is a bunch of crap. You can't prevent people from clicking on your ads multiple times.

To think that this could be a major part of your income and they can just take it away without warning. Sorry for your loss of revenue but thanks for sharing. It brings back memories of my account at Sedo and reminds me to not exclusively use one ad network, even though I do :O

Did you actually establish that this was the case?

Just to make it clear. I am not advocating fraud here. Obviously your traffic must be high quality.

The problem with adsense is even search engine traffic can get banned for who knows what. Usually it's account ages rather than traffic quality at all.

While I was a moderator here, I made the mistake of putting a link to one of my developed sites in my forum signature.

I banned a member for scamming somebody... Then, what happened? They click-bombed my site. Three days later, I woke up to an Adsense account ban.

I matched the IP addresses and everything, sent Google the proof and they said my account was still "high risk" to their advertisers and I would not be reinstated. They were about to release a $600+ payment to me when it happened.

Now I'm happy to report that I make a lot of money online without a single dime coming from Adwords :)

This is equivalent to showcasing your domains or minisites to everybody in the forum. "Hey everybody, i have a brand new minisite! Check it out here -link-!"

They were about to release a $600+ payment to me when it happened.
Which reminds us all to cash out every 100 bucks.

Care to share? :)

There no early cashing out if you make the $600 in one month. But yeah its silly not to collect the check each month it hits $100

That sucks, best of luck with whatever route you end up going!

I got click bombed a while back and appealed and eventually got my adsense account reinstated it took a few months.

Unfortunately I had put my payments on hold and had a years worth of earnings in my account, which I didn't get back.

Yeah, that's the thing with adsense, if they close your account, there is nothing you can do. Unfortunately there isn't a good competition for google and theydo pretty much what they want.

So Google banning your account was a blessing in disguise B-)

Now, would you tell us where the big money's coming from? We promise we'll do nothing vicious this time
