Do new transfer orders at GoDaddy expire after a certain number of days?

I've just a bought and paid a domain at Sedo and I'd like to transfer it to GoDaddy. Now we all know how much time it takes before a buyer receives the Auth Code to start the transfer. Since I've just found a great GoDaddy coupon code (gdbbc1026 which saves you 25% on orders of any amount), can I order the transfer now to take advantage of the big discount and then wait till I have the Auth Code? Will such an order expire if not used within a certain amount of time?

I requested a transfer out of a registrar to go to Godaddy
but because I had transferred it into the registrar less than
60 days ago - that hold is still on.

Godaddy said in the email they will keep trying it for 30 days,
they kept the funds - on a discount coupon - so I'm thinking
if they don't succeed after the 30 days I think that is when it's cancelled.

They keep trying like once a week or so now.
