Do I owe Enom a transfer fee or not?

I recently processed a transfer out to another registrar and was told I needed to pay $30+ credit card transfer fee but then I recieved an email a couple days later that stated the transfer was going to happen and that I didn't have to respond...it would go through automatically in a few days.

90+ days have past since I aquired it there.

Does anyone know Enom's transfer process and if this sounds right?

If you have finished your transfer you do not owe anything. You must be charged in advance for this.

I didn't pay anything for the transfer out at Enom.....yet. I did pay the standard transfer in fee at the recieving registrar and is pending.

I don't know why they would send a letter stating transfer initiation status without payment first but then again...... I don't know why these businesses do half the things they do when they do it.

Question answered.

I only owe a fee if transfering from another registrar to Enom. If I transfer out then I pay the recieving registrars fee for transfer-in. Whew...... I thought I had to pay a two way fee for a second there. I would rather pay $7.00 at my main registrar than $35 at Enom. D-: This is a big difference in price for ea. transfer.

no registrar would charge you when you transfer domain out.

There might be some registrars which charge a transfer out fee. Charing a transfer out fee is like holding your domain for randsom. Most big registrars will not do this, as it would reflect negativley on them.

Good to know. I've never used Enom and with each registrar having their own say I kinda wondered about that.
