How long does it take to transfer my domain from Enom to GoDaddy?

Hi,

I initiated the transfer from enom to godaddy 2 days back. still it shows "pending for enom's approval".

i emailed enom about this 2 days back. but, still goes on.

any idea?

7-10 days? i thought 1-2 days.

If my memory is correct, the longest registrar transfer period is 14 days.

My comment is premised on the fact Enom is a much better registrar than GD. That's just my opinion of course...

You should be receiving an e-mail from eNom in the coming days with a "STANDARDIZED FORM OF AUTHORIZATION". If you want to expedite (or cancel) the transfer, you'll have to follow the link in the e-mail and approve the transfer. Otherwise, you'll have to wait another few days before eNom automatically approves it.

To answer the original question, there is a minimum 5 day wait between initiating a transfer and it completing. This isn't the registrar's fault, it comes from ICANN.

If it takes longer than 5 days and codes have been entered correctly, they're jerking you around. This seems to happen with a lot of registrars when a domain near expiration is transferred out, they'll hang on to the domain long enough that you have to renew it with them. Don't recall seeing complaints of Enom doing this though - 1and1 are notorious for it.
