Convoro just got rejected.

Convoso is listed at $4285 on BB, Conviro is listed at $2995, Convaro is listed at $2155, Convogo is listed at $1595. (None of these names are mine)

And they rejected Convoro. I don't see the logic.

I guess they realized that they have too many ConvVCV names. I like Convoro, though, much better than Convogo.

brewii was just rejected

I like it, nice beer domain. Maybe they didn't want domains with "wii" (like Nintendo Wii).

I have a few Brandbucket rejects, which I want to list on other marketplaces like Sedo, Afternic, etc (after hearing about quick sale stories like the above Sugar/Plate). The problem is I don't know how to price brandable names for a quick sale (I'm new to brandables and I don't want to sell too cheap). Could anyone guide me how they price their domains for a quick sale? Do you list it without a 'Buy It Now'? Just a 'Make Offer'? What's the current market price of a 5L or 6L pronounceable name?

Here's my list of BB rejects (including some I like much):

Epsilona, PlatiVue, Clixva, Boronn, Jupica, Ninjic, ByteVue, Uberonic, Virrtual, Xorvi, Qodaa, Qodsy, CryptoRabbit

I have a hard time getting keyword domains accepted. This is one of the longer keyword domains I've had rejected recently. You search a database when you need to find information.

D/a/t/a/b/a/s/e/F/i/n/d.com

Several months back they also rejected:

.D./o./t./a./b./a./s./e.com.

I would also hear you thoughts on the pricing of brandable names on other marketplaces.

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all are doing well.

If you have BB rejects that you'd like me to comment on please don't hesitate to ask.

I'm not a super expert, but I do have a pretty high acceptance rate and I'm willing to help.

I'd appreciate your thoughts on the following (.com) rejects:
instantrama- for photography
fabricature- an old word for making stuff
unsx- unisex

They accepted Instanto, but valued it at less than $2000.

Thanks!

Because DatabaseFind is not a brandable name.

Care to contribute reasoning? Too many syllables? Don't like database? I'm curious to hear your definition of, "Brandable." Simply stating what is, and what isn't, is not much help.

I can't figure out what works, and what doesn't with keywords. The rule of thumb shorter is better is contradicted all over BrandBuckets site. DataFind would probably be a more brandable form, but then you lack the database keyword. Hence my confusion when it comes to keyword domains.

I can't figure out keywords either so I rarely try anymore. I think what @golan meant was it's a generic term not a brandable (ie creative). It simply describes a function D a t a b a s e F i n d, and then personally on top of that I think it's long which works against it.

Well said. Thank you for helping put this in perspective!

i/n/s/t/a/n/t/r/a/m/a - maybe too long and it might have end user issues, photography didn't 'click' in my mind
f/a/b/r/i/c/a/t/u/r/e - we don't make stuff in the new economy
u/n/s/x- i think it's hard to pronounce, i don't know much about 4L

Thank you, I thought it would please them as well.
I wrote them back and told them they were crazy and griped a bit about some of the rejections so they write me back and accepted Discreti and also another one they rejected which is tovant, a Slovac word meaning 'linkable'

As someone else said, probably they just didn't want more competition with similar names. Sometimes it looks quite random (happened something similar to me a couple of times too), but I guess they just try to protect the seller who got there first with a certain kind of name.

Congrats and thanks for sharing!

There's so many factors to selling brandable domains, some things such as translations and what not can be easily over looked. Human error happens, especially on the marginal level when considering the amount of submissions they receive.

I've actually confronted @michaeljkrell about this assumption. To which he responded...

...If you are PMing anyone else who has a specific question that like, please tell them to reach out to me. We might have missed something and would be happy to look at it again. But no name is ever rejected because it is too similar to one of mine or Margot's name.

I want to believe this. As a NP member recently told me, "Suspicion will eat your brain away." So if you think your domain was rejected when it shouldn't have, don't be afraid to ask them to reconsider it.

Personally, I haven't been abiding by this as much as I should. I'm 1/1 in my experience messaging them for a reconsideration. I don't take rejection well, and confronting the rejector takes away the protective walls of the simple reject / accept. Nonetheless, if you really want to grow as a domainer, you'd think you should be open to any and all information. I was hoping BrandBucket would partner with Brand.Bar (@Angela St. Julien) to set up some sort of peer review brandable voting / discussion system for our rejects. If enough people like said reject, then BrandBucket would reconsider it. A public appeals process if you may.

Here are some of my last rejections:

Never tried to ask for a review of a rejection. What's the chance of getting some success with reviews? Any tip to get a good result?

Thanks!

Convoso is owned by a portfolio holder that has over 1,000 names listed at BB. Conviro is owned by a portfolio holder that has around 800 listed at BB. Convaro i didn't recognize the whois. I'm sure they sometimes try not to accept similiar names of certain portfolio holders as not to make waves with their more loyal members. Convoro is better then Convoso and Conviro and pretty equal with Convaro in my opinion. The double Os always sell well.
