starbull Rejected

Wow, I really like starbull.com, and find it hard to believe that was rejected. I can certainly see that as the name (as an example) for a start-up craft brewery. Just think of the awesome graphics on the bottle...

Here's a few rejects to ponder:

Algority
Profiticity
Codefreely
Brandations

They don't like plurals normally, even great ones. Somehow, they are not friends with profit, they rejected profitix, for example...

Algority would be great for Al Gore :D

C / L / O / U / D / M / I / G / H / T / Y
L / O / A / N / P / U / P
L / O / A / N / I / V / I / T / Y

Any opinions would be appreciated to help me make better decisions in the future on purchases for listing on BB.

I personally like Brandations, and CodeFreely is much better than a lot of the code domains I've seen on BB. They even have 3 word domains in that category.

Profiticity I think gets taken down because it is too similar Profit City

As no native i dont know how awkward it sounds but i got this rejected

Lolate.com

Actually I was quite optimistic about Lola keyword and it sounded good as CVCVCV

I really like TechXO, I would see it more as being Tech XO, instead of saying it as one word
Loanivity - perhaps is difficult to remember later on
Renewva.com - perhaps it's difficult to put a business associated to it (maybe domain renewal or cell phone contract, but not sure what service can be offered)
The other ones I think we're just a matter of opinion

Lolate.com

Sounds like two negative-connotation words: Low and Late. That's the first thing I notice as a native English speaker.

When it comes to 5L or 6L domains it's best to end them in either A, O, I or U. Ending in E is the last option most of the time because it makes the last 3 or 4 letters of most names sound like one syllable. Lo -Late compared to Lo-La-Ta or Lo-La-To etc.... Most of the time the order of value is A, O, I, U and E is last. This rule normally applies to most 5 and 6 letter domains. Lolata is more valuable than Lolato and Lolato is more valuable then Lolati and Lolatu is the least valuable. Sometimes ending in I is more valuable then ending in O but it depends on the sound of the name. Names ending in U are the least valuable out of A, O, I and U most of the time and that is why there are tons to be registered ending in U. Ending in E normally doesn't work with most names. It's not an exact science but a good rule of thumb.

Nice insight! I appreciate

Here's a few rejects to ponder/discuss/rip apart;
  • geeklaunch.com - I liked this one and was a bit surprised it was rejected
  • mycoinbox.com - A bit long, not surprised and still good for something
  • technaholics.com - On the fence, I guess mildly surprised.
  • vaultauctions.com - I liked this with the imagery of a vault for secure auctions. I suspect just not their market segment.
  • verobox.com - Not surprised, this one was on the fence from the jump.
Still been a great 2016 for acceptance rate :)

Here's a story about a BrandBucket reject that rejected his fate and faught it's way to becoming a soon to be featured domain.

It all started with a:

dss.PNG

qwwqwqw.PNG

I bought this domain with the intentions of listing it on BrandBucket. But then....

ww.PNG

But, how could this be? It's received nothing but positive reviews.

I PM'd @michaeljkrell requesting reconsideration under the grouds it was NamePros approved.

He responded that they could accept it for $1795 if I resubmitted it.

I was oddly offended by the suggested price but didn't say anything. Offended because this domain isn't a random handreg, it has possitive feedback, and I imagined he took the time to valuate the domain on second look. So I started to lose faith in the appraisal system.

Nonetheless, I resubmitted it regardless of the low appraisal.

To my surprise, it was given the second look it deserved.

There's some poetic irony to the name of this domain, and the fact that it went from rejeced to soon to be featured domain.

I looking forward to quoting this post when this domain sells.

PS - ScreenShotting a domain with a bunch of likes does not gurantee your chances having the decision over turned. It has to be under the right circumstance. The domain or w.o.o.p.s.y. below had a bunch of likes, but for all the wrong reasons.

My first (and currently the only) domain that is rejected by BrandBucket is

G/l/u/n/d/o .com

I honestly thought that this would be the only accepted domain out of the five names I submitted :)

It was surprising for me, but few months ago they accepted Profitino.com, tino in Italian means tank :), however this domain is sold, good luck to the new owner

First time triple 5L rejects on BB

cuari.com
ubliq.com
duotic.com

any thoughts?

To be honest i saw published names far worse than cuari and duotic

Duotic is not 5L though. Cuari is good, I have similar rejects. Ubliq: BB does not like "u" in a closed consonant, from my experience...
