Sure. I'm not saying they'll disappear, but more so than new TLD's or app world, this makes me wonder what domains will look like in 10 years. I mean, we've had the same system for accessing information online via domain names for what, 30 years now? You walk up to a keyboard, punch in an address, and away you go. And if, (it's a big if) "Holographic Computing" takes off and the experience of observing from behind a screen is displaced by a more immersive experience, that is PC's, tablets etc are replaced by devices like the HoloLens, does it not make sense that the domain landscape might evolve? That we might start to access these sites in a more fluid way, maybe with voice search or something like that? I mean, this could be the biggest change in the way we interact with digital - ever.
I'm not suggesting this is all DEFINITELY HAPPENING and heralding the end of connected devices as we know it. I'm just saying it's interesting to think about.
