I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

I 'd go with your third option or get it developed yourself. I'd say ditch it if it was a .whatever but .net is quite popular. Just remember, not all wines are meant to be aged!

I'm having second thoughts about selling dronerace/video to an interested party.

Any thoughts? ....feel like I should wait a year, at least...see what happens with the DRL.

Very cool name.

I have very little experience so I cant really give good advice here. However, I personally would sell for a nice profit and go from there. First of all because I just started and like to get a few sales, second of all to invest further in other domains with the profit.

I have no experience with holding domains but I have with flipping other things (jewelry for instance). Sometimes I sold quite quicy for a decent profit that could be more, but this enabled me to invest in other things and turned that into profit. For me its not only about looking to get the max out of every single investment, but to keep the money rolling and keep progressing.

Dont know if that helps.

Police 'ponder eagles to tackle drones'

The Metropolitan Police says it is considering using eagles to intercept drones amid concerns the aircraft are increasingly used to commit crime.

The force's interest in using the birds of prey follows trials in the Netherlands.

Drone crashes into Empire State Building

A man charged with crashing a drone into the Empire State Building has apparently tweeted that a policeman had told him it was "fine" to fly there.

Police say a drone hit the New York skyscraper's 40th floor and then fell on to a ledge five levels lower.
