I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

IMO that domain is worth every bit of 5 figures. The buyer wasn't budging and I had to consider what I paid vs the money on the table. It's a case of selling and moving on...

That's a great domain. You could email some companies that sell drones online, like DIY Drones. They claim to be the biggest drone community and their most expensive product costs $2,664.59. So I'm sure they have a lot of money to invest. After you contacted some potential customers I recommend you to auction it. I do that on Flippa.

The little boy who won the drone race in Dubai just got back home to the UK. He was on the morning news yesterday with his dad. Expect a surge in people taking up drone racing . Who knows, it might become an Olympics sport one day. Drones are here to stay
