I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

CES 2016: The final word

...there seems to be a general consensus that CES 2016 signalled a transition year, but not a revolutionary one.... "We're in an in-between phase, where categories like drones, virtual reality, and wearables are growing and advancing, but still have a long way to go," wrote Rachel Metz from MIT Tech Review... Drones are out there, but set to be locked in regulatory hassle for the next year at least...

Impossible to have sold at NC. It wasn't in the live auction and all accepted names, plus those unsold in the live portion, are still in the auction process.

It sold via godaddy expired auctions... That said, it was a good deal.
