I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

A few questions that puzzle me about drone deliveries:
1. How much weight can they carry? Can't see even a large drone (with props big enough to behead the family dog) delivering a bowling ball.
2. How long will their batteries last. Best I've heard of on a small drone is about 20 minutes. Not much range.

I have dronefloats and dronepontoons. Was thinking more in terms of landing and floating on water.

I can see pontoons of drones going on expeditions. (Note: an upside-down waterproof drone is a 4 prop sub).

Also, one final (overlooked) point about Amazon: drone deliveries are only half the story, the logistics of mastering drone deliveries will make Bezos, or whomever gets there first, the richest person on earth... as those logistics will become the killer app / OS for all shipping -by air, land and sea.

Connect the dots, a drone shipping ecosystem... from Container-to-Consumer. No one can compete with that. The existing shippers can't see out of their, expensive, specialist, boxes to even see it coming.

Drone Flies Abortion Pills To Poland

Dutch campaigners have used a drone to fly abortion pills into Poland. The group, Women on Waves, flew the aircraft from Germany to highlight Poland's restrictive laws against terminating pregnancies.

Waiting for the drone on the other side were two Polish women who took the pills, used to induce a miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy.

They, Flying Grounds, Inc., also have the World Drone Racing Championship coming next year, and Human v Machine Drone Racing later this year -which is going with DroneRacing.io - (@lennco)

I looked into them earlier, as I live in Cali, and want to cover such events on LiveDroneTV.com - but as they will put it on LiveStream.com I can just embed the feed as a channel.

BTW, their store is at Hover(.)ly - which goes to show how easy it is, at this point, to get keywords in other extensions and avoid paying a premium to 'The King'.

Which is one of the main reasons my approach is to dev umbrella sites for Live Drone TV Feeds, and I just opened DroneTV.com Showrooms to bring together drone products and services, including drone domains... mixed into the channels: Consumer - Pro - Industry.

I should have also mentioned... fixed-point charging station networks for electric cars, and the new Powerwall batteries from Elon Musk.

Also, several wireless charging companies, like LaserMotive, which recently kept a drone flying for 45 hours, beating their old record of 12 hours (in the vid). The plan is to keep them flying as long as needed.
