discuss Discuss and Showcase Drone Domain Names

NamecheapNamecheap
Watch
I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

Feel free to showcase your drone domain names on this thread.

6-7 figures for Drone.com ?
not yet.. right now market is still too small/underdeveloped and the for this year finally awaited FAA regulations are still looming like a Damocles sword over this whole future market.. in 2017-2020 it might be a completely different story though if all goes well..

ps: besides i do agree with Keith on this one.. Drones is superior to Drone as with all product/object related domains..
Well i hope there are domains in 2020.

"He contacted me 3 weeks ago about this domain"

lol, Thanks for the laugh
January 9 to be exact. The broker even knows it's not a 7 figure domain, per our email exchange!

You can always post a screenshot of your conversation to prove what you say.
If it is true what you say then I am sure David appreciates you throwing him under the bus.

Not throwing anyone under the bus but it does appear to be a different broker named John. The owner must have several brokers trying to sell the domain.

His email to me stated that the owner wanted 7 figures but to give him (the broker) time to work on the seller and he would get him down to a good price. Indicating that 7 figures isn't a realistic figure...

Oh no ..he didn't throw him under the bus... lol, Keith also authored this: .."But yeah, it's irresponsible to list it in the 7 figure range as a broker. That behavior screams desperation. Please give me your listing, I'll do anything!!!!.". Then Keith continues on to post, on one of the most active and viewed public forums for Drone/UAV domain names, and says ... "I'd give $10k for it as a domain to flip." ; this for a domain name which is being represented and personally promoted by a Brokerage company for a price of $2,000,000.

Once keith is confronted and challenged on his intentionally undermining remarks (which stem from his effort of self-aggrandizement), he realizes that he made written statements disparaging and even possibly defaming (libeling) the reputation of an identified industry professional, not just some anonymous chatboard poster, and so he backpeddles, and begins to try to mitigate his exposure to the potential damage, not only to the broker, but to the commercial value of the Domain name itself.

Oh well... lucky for Keith, nobody in the industry takes him seriously.

I would take Keith more seriously than you and quite a few in this thread.

You seem to not know much about what's going on here. I'm not going to go back into the drone com discussion.

That aside, do you even have a reported domain sale (profitable) to lend credibility to your position? It's easy to dismiss someone's opinion with a qwerty. This was the case with FX in the holo thread yesterday. Someone dismissing his advice, meanwhile he's more seasoned than 99% of members here.

Nailed it :)

cocosdad knows a hell of a lot more then you are giving him credit for.
I do know what drone domains he has and when they do sell they will easily beat any current sale to date.
He definitely knows how and what to buy that's for sure.

That's the real problem. You know his drone domains, which haven't sold. A domain that has not sold is worth negative dollars.

Do you know his other domains, outside of drones? That's the real story....

That's a BS statement when it comes to quality domains.
Quality domains have value regardless if they have sold or not.
Quality domains with value that have never been sold can be used as collateral, I know.

Yes I do, he has a great portfolio.

I'll say @cocosdad doesn't have the goods. Prove me wrong with actual sales.

You got folks holding onto domains since the early 90s just waiting for a payday. Each year waiting is lost money. Then consider those that came late to the party and put all their eggs on drone domains! Ouch!!!

He has the goods, I have seen them.
I think I have earned enough credit here to say if he has the goods then he has them.

As far as sales go, that is just another "showing one's junk" contest with you.
No one has to show anything, some people never show their sales, I hardly ever show my sales anymore.

Who the "F" cares? Seriously!
Does someone holding on to a domain for 20 years effect your life in anyway?
Does it raise the price of beer? Hell no!

So get over it, worry about your own life and move on.
