I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

He contacted me 3 weeks ago about this domain. I'll say the same thing here that I said to him. It's not selling near that price.

If it were the plural it might go for a million to the absolute right buyer. The singular is lucky to fetch 6 figs IMO.

It might go 6 figures. The singular just doesn't sound right. In many cases, one letter can be the difference between a little and a lot!

Domains that promote objects are almost always better in plural form. Cars, flowers, drones, shoes, guns...the singular of these are good but suck in comparison to the plural.

I said it could fetch 6 figures. Hardly bashing. But yeah, it's irresponsible to list it in the 7 figure range as a broker. That behavior screams desperation. Please give me your listing, I'll do anything!!!! Like listing a $200k house for a million because that's the only option.

6-7 figures for Drone.com ?
not yet.. right now market is still too small/underdeveloped and the for this year finally awaited FAA regulations are still looming like a Damocles sword over this whole future market.. in 2017-2020 it might be a completely different story though if all goes well..

ps: besides i do agree with Keith on this one.. Drones is superior to Drone as with all product/object related domains..
