I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

Canada as done it already. Last November (2014) Canada Transport modified and simplified the law governing the use of drone.

Picked up some fpv names, hard to know how big that will be.

Aeroraces.com is free. Looks like droneracing.tv is live.

Found the first live .aero site I have ever seen skydrone.aero - it's an fpv product. Also I see uavcomp.com is a developed site, a business that makes white label components.

You can create a thread in the appraisals section... listing as make offer might be good if you are not in a hurry, check historical sales on namebio.com. The lawsuits are a way off yet, so the price would be more later imo.
