.us Disappointed in .us interest

Is it just me or is there a complete lack of interest in the .us market right now? I've been looking to sell a number of names for quite a while now, and I can't seem to gain ANY interest even at low ball price levels.

Anyone else experiencing this?

most of my .us sales at the minute are done privately, sales are still definitely happening

As Irish is saying...alot of sales are taking place that aren't disclosed, I think right now in general, domain name sales are lagging in all extensions, this always happens for a short period of time, they will pick back up, they always do.

Seems that the .us reseller market has slowed. I think some resellers are investing in .mobi hoping to make a quick buck.

The good news is those of us that believe in .us can capitalize on the dip in the market. :tu:

I've domains in almost all major extensions (.com, .info, .info, .biz, .us, .in, .mobi, etc) and although its true that pick-up in .us has been much slower than I had anticipated, this is one extension that I truly believe would be a winner in the long run; in fact, same can be said for all major ccTLDs that are being used as such and not artificially portrayed as gTLDs like .cc, .ws and .tv.

Its a buyer market for dot.us , People are getting name very cheap some good names for even as low as 100 $ . Its good investments option in here ,,

At domain fest property.us is at 175000 Euros

to the lowest generics at purse.us - 1,000 € - No Bids

So , Sellers keep your hopes high as this Extention will take 6months - 1 year more to shoot up ..

As for mobi names : They will take 3-4 years to appreciate , SO Dot.us market is more options for investments Multiply . Asia is a big market for mobil phones so it may OR will be the market for dot.mobis ..

.us is moving, I think the non-privacy WHOIS keeps the majority of activity on the d/l

I sold a few names at the beginning of the year, been quiet since. Did turn down a 300 offer on 'TreeService.us' a couple of weeks ago, which came with an offer of 150 for 'TreeServices.us' within minutes, presumably from the same Afternic buyer.

The "local services" names are the ones I'll be keeping until the very end, whatever that is, unless some serious offers are made of course.

....I'm disappointed also, I have FridayNight.US with 36, million search results and no one is interested ! Appraised @ over 15 grand yet not a single offer !
Very very Disappointing...... .US should be everyones intrest ! IMO

all the interest has shifted to .mobi and .tv for now that is probably why there is a decreased interest in .us. good time to buy .us names though if you think the value of the extension is going to go up.

I'm certainly not saying my approach is impacting .us sales, but when there's still two-word generics - with OVTs in excess of 10,000 - out there for hand regs, I'm not looking to pay xxx for similar circumstances. But that's just me. Your mileage may vary.

It looks like steady sales with some nice ones but also some bargains. And I definitely agree on the long term outlook for the .us extension. Also I defintely encourage everyone to report sales as it helps set a floor on the market.

P.S. Jeeze guys, I've been hanging out at NamePro's forever. When will I ever get green bars and stars? My counter must be broken or I'm running backwards...

Putting .tv with .cc and .ws one of the most laughable things I have read here in a long time and TV is TV known in every country in every language, like Elequa always asks me "who are these Neophytes that still associate .tv as Tuvalu? People with another extension agenda I guess. And there is no doubt there has been a slowdown in interest in .us and I am a fan but I have seen people with good not great domains that could not give them away. Sure there is interest for top 500 Keywords but an extension needs to have other names sell IMO to broaden it out and get it more accepted overall.

If you find it laughable then laugh by all means....!! I've no problems with that at all. Its interesting that you find a simple opinion so emotionally disturbing that you feel like laughing your pants off.

So, anyone who doesn't believe in long term viability of .TV has "another extension agenda"...Definitely, I do...who doesn't? But like I said in my post its not just one its a multiple extension agenda...like .com, .info, .biz, .us, .in, .mobi, etc...minus .TV of course...!!

Wonder why many are not impressed by this recent Mega re-debut of .TV with re-release of thousands of premium names....so what was the total sale, less than a million$..??

I will take the long term viabilty of .tv over .biz anyday. The re-release of Premium domains was not supposed to be anything other than that making domains available again that were not available while Demand Media was taking over the retail side of the .tv extension.

And yes I did laugh as well as the others I showed this post laughed too comparing .tv and .cc/.ws is laughable and again there is no denying TV is the mst popular two letter word/symbol in the world. Not my opinion/not your opinion FACT

And again to what the OP posted there is no doubt there has been a slowdown in interest for .US domains. And I am not a hater a big fan of the ext owning several .us
