thanks for your comment, yes .com is important if you choose to have a .com for your company. these days more and more brands are moving away from .com and adopting alternative extensions.
.com is still valuable for brand protection sure, but doesn't mean other extensions have less value.
A domain is worth $0 to one company, and $1m to another regardless of the extension, he who pays the most is he who gains the most from owning it, thus doing the right leg work to find the right buyer is imperative to making a great sale.
plenty of .com dinosaurs shouting till they are blue in the face saying .com is the most important when in reality any domain extension can accelerate a brands growth, what's important is protecting the brand by owning your brand be it .com or .xyz or .io
Brand perception is changing, 10 years ago people would assume all big brand have .com but these days some of the biggest brands use alternative extensions, the world is turning digital, web 3 is around the corner, if you refuse to adapt and follow the industry natural evolution you will get left behind.
.com is king but some brands want the queen or the prince
as the king is an old grumpy goose!
I'm sorry if you are offended that I'm using a .io apposed to a .com but frankly their are bigger problems in the world right now to worry about.
