Did you find NP a strange way?

When I found out about Name Pros, it was a pretty strange way. I was looking at another forum because there was a site for sale. He had posted a screen shot of his stats and I was looking at them. Then I looked on the task/tool bar on the bottom of Windows XP and I saw NamePros.Com so I typed it in and I'm now so addicted to it...

Anything strange like this for you guys.

I found NP by doing a Google search. But I do wish that I had found it after I read the Business 2.0 article and before I bought my first domain names.

Not really. I'd just left another forum because it was too aggressive, in that you couldn't say anything without being attacked by someone.

Signed up to about 3 different forums to find a better one.
NP had the best design, a good selection of topics and seemed quite easy going, which it still is.

Now NP and a forum admin/moderator/owners forum (forumuniversity.com) are the only two forums I visit.

I found this site a while ago. I was referred here by someone else who I knew at another forum. Ever since then I have not found a forum better than NP!

My friend was running a paid design contest and asked me to help him judge the winner. Thus I discovered the developer's section and that was that...Like CriminalOrigins, I had no interest or knowledge in domains...not a lot has changed.

My great mate bonzer introduced me to this forum.

I think it's a great place to visit and I have tried my hand at a few things but not really been into domains, I just set my site up about a year and a half ago and have been doing fine and dandy since.

I have noticed that pretty much any domain name worth its salt has long gone, but I do still love to speculate.

If something big happens on 6th of July 2k6 then I might make a few bob.
And no I'm not on about Jesus Christ or the devil appearing, I'm on about some huge event happening somewhere in the world on that day.

I have looked at other webmaster sites and this one seems the best.

I think I found it when I was looking for a script and one of the links landed me here, well actually at webdesigntalk.com (I think thats it) and the rest is history, site has helped me soo much.

I was looking around for something that I couldn't do in HTML or something (some time ago now) and I came across webdesigntalk. I signed up, but never got round to using it because it wanted me to click an authentication link, and I couldn't be bothered to open my email account. When I eventually checked my email I had a strange one from this "namepros.com" (because webdesigntalk is owned by namepros obviouslly they all get sent from namepros.com) and I investigated into it and eventually, here I am - an addict like so many others.

I was entering contests in SP, which was my first real
forum. Then when someone told me they had some here too,
I never looked back. So much more going on here, not just the
contests. With the help and knowledge of some NP members, I have
gathered domains, finally got my first site up and learning more each day!
