Come on Cosmic, please respond to my question
six hours since thebiffenator's questions and no answers...
what a large portfolio you must have cosmicray; i assume you are taking a long time to answer due to a very rigid selection of the best names you have among thousands of your portfolio
and we will be shocked how a .mobi investor comes here and posts .mobi is dead

no answers yet? :bah:

This is about mobey now being officially without purpose or mission.

but it is about you, you declaired the extension dead, specifically speaking as a vested investor.

anyhoot instead of just posting here, why don't you start notifying those organizations, who use .mobi, that they're wasting their time.

you can start here, let us know how it goes...

..the quiet is occasionally broken with the faint sounds...."baaaawwwkkk...., baaawwkk, baawwkk..."
Perhaps he is starring at his 'good keywords' crying "but.. these are great keywords I.. coulda been a contender...!"

I want to know one thing before anyone else gets Banned!

Why?

And Why again, I have been nothing but nice and informative to this forum and so has many others. We speak our beliefs, Some could be true or false!!!! But pretty much all of it is our Humble Oppinon. And why are we egged on? It seems like we are all be driven out!

For .mobi believers, we invested and developed our time and our best interest, and we never mocked any other extension on here! We are simply participating in this forum! That what is a forum is for right? We are protecting our selves... and our investments!

But all of us investors in the mobile world are the same like you. We look to monetize like the rest and we saw an open window.

Can some mod Please PM me ASAP (I prefer RJ or Reece) for the reasoning of the BAN's that took place recently.

Biff

Here's another recent article to prove the point.

Los Angeles Traffic Cam brings live gridlocks to your cellphone

With all due respect Cosmicray, if you "regretably have some 'good' keyword .mobeys", why keep them? I'm sure if you post them for sale, they would be purchased. A lot of us would be willing to buy them off your hands! B-)

There are people with great influence in the domainer world who do not see value in .mobi because they believe technology will make it irrelevant and then there are those who are actively attempting to devalue it in order to protect their own investments. Some people are like the Wizard of Oz, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain buying .mobi portfolios while telling others the tld is useless.

If the big dogs (not just Rick) wanted to make this valuable to the masses, it would've been. There are so many followers in domaining that all they had to do was say the word and the thing would be sold out and trading at the same pace as other popular tlds.

Instead, that isn't happening amongst the throngs of domainers who follow traditionalists.

From a portfolio owner perspective, this disappoints me. From a consumer perspective, all I have to say is "GOOD!" The lack of large-scale perceived value by domainers is good for the consumer. Why? The consumer is tired of parked pages. If they want a search engine, they are savvy enough to find one. They don't need pay per click ads to help them find a decent site. Small businesses and corporations with offline products to sell are doing well with their subscriber base as other posts have stated.

So naysayers, go on and rip on the aftermarket. You're keeping the world safe for developed, useful .mobi sites. Once the sites are built and useful and have traffic we are talking a whole different ballgame.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, .mobi is a developer's tld. If you want to be lazy and park then go buy .com.

Here is what I want to know... how many people who are complaining about developed .mobi sites have every tried to develop one? I am guessing that the people who are complaining loudest are not developers, have not taken the time to try the process before speaking about it. There have been times when I have updated one of my .mobi sites and then fifteen minutes later it has appeared toward the top on Google. Can you say that about your .com sites? Or what about the fact that the googlebot usually shows up in my awstats before I even have a chance to finish making my mobi sites while similar .com's are dormant with no robots visiting for a week or two? Please, people, get it right. The mobile web is being built and .mobi has a seat at the table whether you like it or not.

This reminds me of the old Life cereal commercial... "I'm not gonna try it, you try it... let's get Mikey, yeah, he hates everything... he likes it -- hey Mikey!"

There are greasy fingerprints all over my Iphone screen. Can't see a thing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
For those who want to actually inform themselves as to whether .Mobi was created to take advantage of new technology or was blindsided by innovation, please take a look at the other active thread in this forum: "Nokia buys software company".
Nokia was and is the primary backer of .Mobi, and they are pretty big , last time I looked. They just completed purchase of a major cutting edge software company and intend to compete directly with Android.
If you want to believe these guys are unaware that technology advances at a lightning pace, help yourself. But, to me, the idea that Nokia thought mobile technology would remain stagnant is ridiculous.
In this context, this is one of the funniest quotes I have ever read in a forum.
And lets not forget about MTLD's purchase of mowser (which befofe was rumored to be another anti .mobi movement) Along with the iphone, but I'm not gona repeat about how it helped.mobi
And Here is great factual Proof for Iphone and how it is not a .mobi killer
http://www.zagat.com/Content.aspx?PrimNav=Mob&CT=pageBody_Mobile
Now the millions of people that want to see how to get Zagat on the go, can see this page. I am sure this page gets alot of visits. This only goes to show that .mobi works with technology and won't be dead, but kicking more then ever.
Me too and its time to DUMP the .mobis and take the loss.
:)
(I regretably have some "good" keyword .mobeys).
So list them here then. Start dumping now before you let them expire.
Or, maybe you don't want to...or maybe you don't have any....or maybe you're embarrassed that you picked a bunch of duff names....?
The universe of domain extensions has just increased 1000 fold making
the branding of mobey to everybody 1000 times more difficult.
and .mobi D day is coming in next few months ...
I think you should all dump mobey. :hehe:
this is just not professional. cosmic, be a 'namepro' and read for a couple of months. Learn about MOBILE, not just domaining from a domainers perspective. Crack a magazine, read some blogs.
If your opinion continues, unchanged, fine. Until then, your comments basically equate to a no-talent barnyard cicus act. :alien:
But pv, cosmic has some 'GOOD' keyword .mobi's. He can't drop them!! He's just a bit confused currently, either by the naysayer hype, or what 'good keywords' are!!
