Did Np try to generate HTML pages for SEO?

Yesterday, i had noticed that NP tried to generate HTML pages and that time i was't able to access some forum topics.

am i right? anyone had experience?

I bet its the same content, just aliased in to look like html.

I do it on some of my sites using mod rewrite in htaccess. I wonder what it would do to the server load here? This place gets "real" traffic... it might bork page load times.
