Hey guys. If you are in the mood for listening to something new can you check out the above link please? I wanna know what you guys think of her. Her name is Diana Lynne and she is a song-writer, guitarist, singer, and not to mention the love of my life. I want people to know she exists and I want people to give their opinion about her music. It's a very unique style but the energy is immensive.

She has two songs to listen to, and both started out as poems but turned into songs. They aren't professionally recorded or anything but she's going into a recording studio soon to get some songs done and I'm very excited.

WOW.. not what I was expecting. I'd like to say that NamePros is my second favourite forum on the internet, second to only my own, and I've had a lot of great experiences on here. Like anywhere in life there will be the bad experiences and bad people as well, and NamePros doesn't lack either of course. But I think Ron James is an amazing administrator and I hope people don't think I'm dissing namepros. I just found it crazy that a few people thought I left my home to sell my $5 CD. And haha nice one Joseph that's never been said...

Let's get back onto the topic of Diana Lynne please. What did you guys think of her?

The lyrics are quality, guitar is good sounding. Vocals need a lot of help. Freak really has potential to be a great song. Spead it up and sing it with conviction, "angry white boy" style (don't know how else to describe it).

T-H, so dig, I went to her site and I listened to her tunes...
3 times each, looking for her sound, trying to hear where the power was coming from, (there is an energy there) how those simple riffs and clumsy chord changes and beatnik cafe house poetry were drawing my interest more each time I listened and I think I heard the crux of it... this girl has some soul.
Not like Aretha kinda soul, not that Motown thang but deeper inside, soul borne from pain and self doubt but fighting to survive. You can’t teach that.
She's a diamond in the rough man. Really rough, but for sure could sparkle with some hard work.

I suggest she spend more time working live gigs, working more on learning her guitar, her rhythms, and search for the melody her vocals want to follow and polish that style. The crowd is the best teacher you can hope for, cuz bro the lessons are in real time.
And embrace that fear of the stage, cuz she nailed it in her bio... after that first note starts its nothing but a rush and it's only about the music and the message.

Her guitar playing was fine..lyrics were just so-so. It's depressing teenage garble. She can't sing at all and I hate that spoken word stuff. Tell her to get a singer to push her lyrics out there. I can imagine Scott Weiland (STP) singing lyrics like this.
