It's a neat little system...however there seems to be some bugs in it still.

I sent them an email yesterday and have not heard back yet

It's not a spinoff of evolanding. It's evo landing rebranded.

Seabass...If I was you i would stay away from this like the plague. Customer service sucks and the earnings are pityful beyond measure. Oh and everyone that used this service previously has had their domains de-indexed.

Don't fall for the hype.

Well....the reason I looked at this to begin with was b/c Andrew over at DomainNameWire.com had recommended it.

Here is what he said:

*Because the automated content on DevHub is in the form of modules rather than complete articles or pages, I donโ€™t think duplicate content will be a big issue. The bottom line is you have to create your own custom content to go along with the โ€œeasyโ€ content.

http://domainnamewire.com/2009/02/17/devhub-opens-to-public/

I really don't know how modules play or don't play into it, but I assume that since they are not indexible they don't hurt you.

Am I wrong on that guys?

I will say the pages seem to be much, much more attractive and relevant than WhyPark pages.

I guess it comes down to who you believe and what you are willing to risk.

I've been involved with this company and I never will be again. They treated good people like sh!t closing down accounts without even an email.

I had names there that earned a little bit. They earned better using the traditional fashion of parking.

BTW...the pages aren't yours to manage. You cannot use your affiliate links. You cannot use your adsense. You cannot buy or sell your own links.

The pages are pretty, but pretty doesn't always make money.

There are better options out there that give you complete control over your built out site. And no..I'm not talking about whypark.

I'll say it again...stay away like the plague or use them if you will.

Choice is yours.

Thanks for the advice Jason. :)

I sure hate hearing about companies closing accounts like that. It's so offensive.

BTW....the DevHub does allow you to use your own adsense if you wish.

Advice taken. I'm going to pull back from this. Too bad b/c I was able to create a really nice looking, relevant site in literally 10 minutes :)

Oh well, back to what I do best.....finding domains. :)

I'm going to give them a shot anyway, just to see how it works-

So far it seems much easier than rolling my own microsite, and obv. cheaper than going through sitegraduate.com or aeiou.com.

For those interested in what one of their sites looks like (one that they didn't polish themselves and provide as an example on the front page of devhub), I set one up at:

http://www.hawaiiretrievers.com/

So far it's only 3 pages, with about half an hour of work researching & writing the content.

Thanks for the heads up. Strange, though, they're working for me...

BTW, I notice you've got some whypark domains in your sig. Was thinking about trying them out if devhub didn't pan out. What are your experiences?

Greetings from DevHub

Hi NamePros users-

Appreciate the discussion on DevHub and the interest in our launch!

Just hoping to clarify a few things with regards to the EVO Landing platform, which is now retired and a completely different system from the DevHub platform.

Early on during the EVO Landing platform's life (early 2008), we unfortunately had to cancel a small number of users' accounts due to various user actions that put our system at risk. One particular problem was when users would quickly alternate sites created on the platform with other parking platforms. This would confuse search engines and end up compromising the entire system, so we unfortunately had to cancel these users' accounts. We made sure to notify affected users before canceling and if you did not receive that notice, I would like to apologize on behalf of the Company.

We have since moved on from restricted/generated sites. In an effort to promote the creation of truly unique sites and content, we created the DevHub platform. Over the past 6 months, we spent a lot of time and effort building a platform and editor that balances ease-of-creation while allowing users full control over customization and creation of their sites.

While the DevHub platform allows users to easily drag-and-drop various monetization modules (products, business listings, RE listings, jobs, etc) formerly found in the EVO Landing platform, users are encouraged to create their own original content and can additionally now place their own affiliate codes, Adsense, or other widgets to enhance their sites (although any external monetization channels are not tracked in our reporting panel).

Our focus is on allowing users to create unique, useful sites that provides value to both creators and users of the sites -- which in the long run benefits all. Here is an site we created in a few minutes as an example: www.bestseattlesushi.com.

We continue to work on the flexibility of the platform (CSS theming, API, etc. coming soon) as well as providing additional modules and feature enhancements on a weekly basis (blogging tools and subdomains this week). We thank you for your suggestions/feedback and realize that the success of this platform will depend on our ability to create a developer environment that constantly evolves to the needs of our users.

Good luck everyone!

Best,
-Geoff

I'm confused.....how did this compromise your entire system?

Can't uses still do this? How does the new DevHub solve that?.

Thanks for writing here......many reps never show themselves in forums. At least you seem willing to address any problems.

Geoff:

While I give you props for coming on NP and addressing the posted concerns, I take them away for your "example" site noted above.

I have always thought that when a salesperson gives me examples of their company's work, or testimonials from others about their work, that they are showing me the best of the best. Why after all, would they show me an inferior product if they were trying to gain my business? You state that "WE" , meaning DevHub, created this example site in just a few minutes. When I viewed the site, I was immediately put off by the use of improper sentence structure and all of the grammatical errors.

This seems to indicate to me that you guys are either using regurgitated, plagarized content, or just don't care enough about what you are selling to check this in advance. In either case, it was enough to convince me not to use your service.

Thanks for the helpful 'advice'.

Wow....you're not kidding....I did not even read the page before. :)

It hurts to even read that.

There are definitely some gaffs and lack of care shown. The site itself is not so bad, but it comes across as something a bit too quickly done.
