I just had an idea.

If I could develop all 250 of my "keeper" .mobi domains, and make just ONE DOLLAR a day from each of them, that would be $91,000 of annual income.

When I think about it in those terms, it makes me want to get started.

Anyone have any idea how long that would take to develop all of those?

Depending on how much time you wanna take.. For instance, you just posted that, why don't you just get started now? Im sure some people here could bang out, 1-5 websites a day.

Seems a daunting task, BUT when done would be quite worth it I think.

I just hate to have all these great keyword names parked. Plus, it would add to the ecosyst.....uh....you know, that dirty little word everyone hates, lol.

I've heard from some that it takes about 1/2 day / per site, generally speaking ... and this is a VERY ROUGH idea of a time-frame for a small/smaller site, IMHO. 250 x 4 hours = 1,000 hours. Take a few weeks off, full-time devoted to developings, you should have all 250 sites up in about 6 months ... and then on to your $91,250/year and potentially increasing for life (IF each site ends up making one dollar per day, of course)! :music:

All the best!

Worth the work, I would say.

I would think that $1/day would be quite doable, with that being the average.

Some making more, such as my mortgage loan domains, and some making less, such as my adult.

If you can average $1/day on all 250 ... absolutely! :talk: :lala:

Plus that whole adding to the "ecosy____" thingy as a bonus ... :xf.love:
All the best, G.

Time to get to work.

Garrett, I would say go for it. You'll get in the groove after you've finished the first couple of 'em. Let us know your progress, and link to your finished ones so that we can check them out.

In six months, you'll so happy that you did.

Here's a quick and easy example of unique and compelling development for those that are "on the go" (and if moneitized correctly could easily make $1/day), IMHO. :tu: :talk:

I've thought about that too...and with 700 .mobis in my portfolio, just 25 CENTS a day on average would bring in over $60,000 a year.

Of course, developing 700 domains is a daunting prospect, but the sooner I could get started, the better. Even figuring out a basic template for them and then plugging in different info for each would be a start -- improvements could then be made as time goes on...

I'd personally say the best way to go about it, if you wanted just content in them all, would be to have a generic template, and CMS, upload all that, then write your way through all 250 ones, in terms of design etc. it wouldn't take too long, just writing the site that takes the time. Or get someone to develop each site, for, say $60 per domain, after all that would only be 2 months income!

I remember making a thread about this awhile back... This is not a farfetched goal by any means, and there are several excellent SEO "experts" who've made 100's of thousands on a collection of mini-sites served up "made-for-adsense" style.

To make 90k off 250 names is quite reasonable. Certainly easier to achieve than having 1 or 2 large sites -- but that's not going to stop me from building a 1k+ page .mobi!

If you're like me and regged a whole pile of names in the same field (you do have quite the adult collection there :guilty: ) , it shouldn't be hard to link them into some kind of "adult mini-network". I could see the same done for those with geo collections or our friend with the very large photography-related collection. I'm seriously considering doing this myself, but I think I'll develop a very large site first (my 12/01/07 project), get it very well ranked in Google, and subsequently use the power of mini-networks to boost the SERPS of all the other sites in the network (a little black? :guilty: ).

I could never do 250. I'm not even finished with one I have been working on since May.

Why not, you start up a development team too. It simple. :) :)

It might be hard to believe that those of us here could make a difference and get mobi rolling. But if you think about it, many of us here have 100+ .mobi's. If we share ideas and pledge to develop 100 each in the next 2-3 months, it would help the extension and be profitable for all of us.

I'm willing to give it a try, anyone else?

best Idea is just not to think about it and just start developing,

last year at this stage I had 50 good domains in .com/.net/.info that needed to be developed...this time today I have half developed, and I make a decent amount of adsense +other affiliates each day from these.

you just have to set targets on development, you cant keep thinking about it and putting it back a week, a month a year etc etc..

because developed domains make so much more then parked domains, + they are much more favorable to end users.

sites

I own 100 approx mobis but have no time or inclination to learn how to make them myself. The hardest part I have found is finding quality, reasonably priced, developers with the ability to understand my concepts quickly and easily to actually make the sites for me.

How about a group of you talented site creators start some form of developmentcoop.mobi site for people like me that needs sites made. I know that lot of people out there are in the same position I am in.
