Wandering through domain forums I have stumbled very often upon the definition "developed", "if you would just develop your dn it cóuld be worth a lot" is a common phrase, but it is considered developed, a frontpage explaining the concept or a layered site with database support ?
Surely someone with over 200 dn's would not be able to develop a substantial part of his dn's, or is he ?

Thanks,

Bram

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

It has to be a full functioning site, I guess partially finished sites would also have some value to them depending on how far along they are.

I try to develop all my Domains the best I can in what time I have, its tuff to keep up :)

Good subject!
There are likely different perceptions about degree of "development" and varying opinions about just how much "development" could add value :$: to one's domain NAMES. I would say that an introductory page with a logo, "concept", and cursory platform for a potential suitor to then carry forward and maximize would certainly be better than just a domain's parking page or "For Sale" footnote ... generally. It will depend on the perceived value of the domain in its own right, as well.
Submitting it then to the S/E's and gaining visibility and eyeballs would lend itself to better negotiations, as well IMHO.
Clearly, a fully functional site with repeat traffic, uniques, memberships ... all documented would be the *best* situation from a reselling standpoint. Established sales from the site, marketing and advertising, cool looking design and value-added features are things that I would recommend for maximizing your potential ROI ... though I know first-hand that in the business of domain NAMES time and resources can be limited. I'm sure we all have domains that we'd like to see one day developed, and it's up to us to select which ones would most capitalize on this opportunity (and expense for "developement"). Just my two sense.
Have a great domain day. :)

Developed domains get more Bling :$: than undeveloped.
Also if you offer 1 year hosting with them the prices keeps going up. But the main factor of the price is always the stats (in UNIQUES, Hits are worthless)
