Hi Mod's and Mem's,

Is there a template or format that works best when emailing potential end- users about selling them a DN, so it's not just so much spam?

What are the legal issues about pitching DN's to companys through email?

And any other information on contacting end-users would be welcome.

Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge.

Peace,kp

I approach endusers based on their language. If an enduser's website is in italian language, i write 2 typos of letter. One in english and the other(just below the english content) in italian . I use altavista to translate from english to italian and it has worked for me so far.

Thanks Suthra and NewInDomains!!! :kickass:

Exactly what I needed. Outstanding thread. And the Multi Language is a Great Idea!

Still wondering about the legal issues that apply to cold calling through email.

And the squatter part of reg'ing a name for resale.

Thanks NP'rs, You are Royalty.

I believe the practice of regging a domain with the intention to resell has been proven in court to be perfectly legal, as there is now some legal recognition that domain names are actual property.

What would be questionable is if you are registering names with trademarks, with the intention to profit off someone else's trademark.

Thanks Armstrong, once again you have the answers.

So only one question left, the legal issues of sending email to potential buyers... what make this different from spamming?

Thanks,kp

Do not mass E-mail (spam)!

:bingo:

Sending personalized and custom-written E-mail's to specific people and offering your non-trademarked domain names for sale is the difference, IMHO. Find out first EXACTLY who to send the marketing letters to, write and address them accordingly -and- for a specific purpose and, naturally, on a professional basis.

Keep up the good work with those relevant End users! :talk:
