Sanchay you and I are cool but I disagree with you 100 %, No one is doubting Rosenblatt as a business leader but the handling of .tv has been subpar.
(It is still too early in the takeover to deem the handling as subpar, imo)
Whether you have a different opinion on premiums is irrelevant, anyone who wants to register a premium should have the ability to do so.
(I am not sure about this, but is not true that to this day some two letter .coms are still being held back and are reserved?)
For you to say people should be glad with whatever qdaly posts like it is a gift or a favor is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard
(I never said people should be glad with "whatever qdaly posts," but more like that at least she does post. I cannot recall since I have been active in the .TV forum ever seeing a single post by .TV corporation or Verisign, good bad or indifferent. Because there is so much skepticism in the social networking arena on how actually to montetize on this type of business plan, I highly doubt a concrete description will be released until it is ready to be made public, similar to a startup )
They have been given plenty of slack if it was not for this forum and calling about premium renewals they might have screwed the renewal pricing.
(I agree they have been given plenty of slack but I do not think it was this forum alone that was the savior of what could have been very tragic to our wallets. There were premium domain holders all over the world to include companies that were all on the phone as we were trying to get this mess sorted out.)
If past success means do whatever you like whenever you like then give Bill Gates the keys to the planet. We are not discussing IMALL or Myspace or even Demand Media as a whole we are talking about PREMIUMS TOOLS and CUSTOMER SERVICE for .TV
(Past success is not a direct indicator, however, having past success does help legitimize a vision. I am not in disagreement that premium tools (whatever they may be) have been delayed, but as I said many tools are available. In regards to customer service, I totally agree it is beneath poor. Many times I have called and have been told it would be a two hour wait which I too believe is ridiculous whether you hold one domain or a thousand.)
Raymond, I look at it this way. In the past, Verisign may have cared 0 about how .TV corp ran the show as you said yourself once that .TV was a needle in the haystack in Verisign's empire. At least now there is an entity between Verisign and Enom.tv, called Demand Media.
It's great to have discussion, that's why I love this forum
