We're happy to announce the release of the me.tv Channel Tools v1.1. We listened to the feedback that you all provided and we ended up with 4 great product enhancements for this release.
1. Custom Headers: When you are logged in, under the Settings > Channel tabs, you will find a new tool for altering the text on your current header, or uploading your own graphic/photo/logo to be used as the the header for your Channel. Photoshop experts, you'll want to create your header at 980 x 155 pixels. Non-Photoshop experts, fear not! You can use our cropper tool to arrange, size and set your custom graphic however you'd like. Don't forget to choose a background color if your image isn't as wide as the header space allows. Get in there and experiment! You can always reset your header to its original state if you'd like.
2. Custom Background: Again, under the the Settings > Channel tabs, you will find another new tool for changing the background color that appears around the edges of your channel, or uploading your own graphic/photo/logo to be used as the background for your Channel. There really is a lot of experimenting to be done with the configurations of background colors and images. As with the Header, get in there and try a bunch of different images, arrangements, etc. - you can always revert back to the original background.
(Hint: Try out different Theme combinations with your new custom headers and backgrounds).
3. User Registration "On-Channel": Prior to this release, when people wanted to sign-up to join a Channel, that registration form was located on the www.me.tv site. Now user registration for all Channels lives right on the Channels. You can see this by clicking the "Sign Up" buttons or links.
4. Additional Domain Purchase Cart Functionality: We have added the ability to search for and add more .tv domains to your cart when purchasing .tv domains through www.me.tv. We have also added a "Cart Inventory Counter", as well as an "Edit Cart" button on the Purchase Page for any last minute changes you might want to make.
While future releases will allow for even more customization, jump in now and let the transformation of your Channels begin!
