Default Defrag Software?

Does anyone know the details of the relationship between Diskeeper and Microsoft? I think a version of Diskeeper was the defrag tool in the earlier versions of the Windows OS's. But now it seems that it is not part of Vista.

I know the Microsoft Defragmenter from Win2k and WinXP was made in colaboration with Diskeeper.

According to this ( http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3474607#post3474607 ) Microsoft no longer used Diskeeper. I am glad.
