Does anyone know the details of the relationship between Diskeeper and Microsoft? I think a version of Diskeeper was the defrag tool in the earlier versions of the Windows OS's. But now it seems that it is not part of Vista.

According to this ( http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3474607#post3474607 ) Microsoft no longer used Diskeeper. I am glad.

I use the O&O Defrag Utility and I am very pleased with it

O&O Defrag:

Plus, they are a Gold Certified Solutions Provider

But you can also use Perfect Disk. Perfect Disk
( http://www.raxco.com/products/perfectdisk2k/ ) is rated as the best defrag software from Download.com

It is also a old Certified Solutions Provider and has won a number of other awards as well:

Lord Xenu :alien: is also glad that Microsoft no longer uses Diskeeper. Hubbard bad-mouthed the poor guy.
