There are even companies that want to recreate the Hollywood studio model. Digital Entertainment Corporation of America, or Deca.TV, aims to act like a studio, putting up money to develop and produce online video properties. It has just $5m of venture capital backing, but from such small beginnings, the successors to today's Hollywood are likely to emerge.
