I paid $320 for a custom project on 10/16. All promises and deadlines were missed as I never received even 1 project related file.

I requested a refund which Mike agreed to on 11/24. On 11/26 the refund was processed. It is now 12/5 and no refund has been posted.

I have been very patient this entire process but I am starting to become very annoyed.

Mike, I expect the refund to be posted ASAP. I look forward to hearing from you so we can resolve this peacefully.

Mike still owes me $320. He has failed to deliver even once on a promise he has made. I let Mike now that if a refund is not issue by Monday @ Noon PST that I will be filing a CC Dispute with Bank of America as well as filing a complaint with the BBB.

Here is a brief summary of my dealings with Mike.

The History –

10/16/2008 – An agreement was reached for custom web development for $320. Payment was sent for Vessio Invoice #115.

10/17/2008 – Mike Danna contacts me regarding the project saying he will be in touch soon.

10/21/2008 – I sent Mike email regarding the status of the project. He apologizes for the delay.

10/30/2008 – I receive an email from Mike regarding the delay. It says the new completion date for the project is 11/06/2008.

11/06/2008 – No contact from Mike, and no project files are delivered.

11/10/2008 – Received email from Mike apologizing again for the delay.

11/18/2008 – I sent Mike an email asking for a status update. I give Mike a final deadline to deliver the files. He also agrees to this deadline of 11/21/2008.

11/21/2008 – No files are delivered.

11/23/2008 – I request a full refund. Initially Mike refuses and instead offers a credit. Once again I insist on a refund.

11/24/2008 – Mike Danna agrees to my refund request.

11/26/2008 – My account is Vessio is cancelled by Mike. I am promised a refund within 10 Business days.

12/10/2008 – Even with the most generous math in his favor, the 10 business day deadline is up. I have received no refund as promised.

On the 6th of October I paid $160 for a customized PHPLD template.
It took about 2 months and around 5 missed deadlines until I got the first revision which was simply a clone of a free template I gave Mike.

I was VERY disappointed and told Mike I would give him a Second chance, Mike has then given me a date on which the second revision would be ready.

After another 4 missed deadlines that Mike has set himself and never met I told him that I've had enough and I don't want any template I just want a refund. About 10 minutes after that I had my account closed and an e-mail saying that in case I requested a refund and it should take up to 5 days for the refund to be posted.

During those 5 days I have e-mailed Mike 3 times but he ignored them all. After 8 days I decided to post here on this thread and only then I discovered that Mike simply closed my account with no intentions of refunding me.
Mike has also lied about showing me a 2nd revision already which was not true at all, see my older post:

Again, I was VERY, VERY upset with this but still, decided to give Mike another chance so we agreed that my 3rd revision will be ready on Friday (28/11/1008)...
Guess what? again, this deadline was missed and when I contacted Mike on Sunday he said that Sundays are "hectic" and that my project will be ready soon (His regular missed deadline sentences).

8 days after his missed deadline Mike has sent me what he calls a 3rd revision though It's not even close to what I asked.
When I told him I'd be willing to give him a second chance I have clearly stated the requirements I want in the template.
a part of the requirements was a PSD of the design BEFORE he provides the template so I can tell him if it's good or not.
He ignored all those requests and just sent me a design I could have made in 3 minutes and the rest again copied from the free template I gave him.
No PSD, no preview, nothing just a zip file with a PNG image of the banner.

On the same day I submitted a ticket to Mike telling me about the disappointment of his services and asking him to take the $160 I paid and using them for a different project since obviously he cannot deliver a decent PHPLD template.

It is now the 14th of December and since the 6th I have not received a response to my ticket.
I have submitted another 2 replies to the ticket and still not answer.

The only answer I got from him was when I sent him a "What the hell is going on?" and only then he replied with

Idan,

Your ticket was received and will be answered shortly. Please note for your future correspondence e-mails such as this last message showing a total lack of professionalism will not be responded to.

During those past 2.5 months I have Mike has always rejected any refund request from me with excuses that I was already given the files which is obviously nonsense since I would never use a clone of the free template I have.

Sept 4 2008 sites I payed 1000 dollar for 10 sites which I ordered on Sept 3
Mike has told me on two different days(with 1 week in between) by email that my sites were ready and they would be put go"live" the same evening.
He assured me the sites were ready. Just had to put the sites live(he would be hosting them), nothing else.

The last time he promised me that the sites would be up the same evening was 4 days ago. Not much else to say.

Hard to say anything useful/sensible here without going against what the moderators put up as guidelines.
If he would have done this to 1-2 people one could have some doubt, but I think things are pretty clear. Being busy/huricanes were just lame excuses.
I can see that subcontractors did not come through with certain things perhaps, but two different days telling that something will be delivered and not do it...

Too bad for all newcomers who start who start building websites, as one of them could be mistaken for Mike, who may appear and pull the same moves again.

Vessio.com was up this morning, this is ridiculous. I am not sure what Mike is trying to pull, we have all his contact info.

If anyone wants to contact me with their project details I will take the reports with the possibility of reporting them to his local authorities. If Mike is unwilling to provide the service, or a refund that is theft period.

EDIT1: I am not sure what info I am allowed to post here, but I was able to pull up quite a bit of useful info on Mike Danna with a little research. How he thinks he is going to get away with this leaving a paper trail a mile long is beyond me.

If over $5000 is involved it looks like "Grand Theft". I hope Mike takes this very seriously.

I'm out less than $100 at this point, but more importantly I trusted MIKE, and he has seriously failed me at this point.

I understand the frustrations above and beyond the financial loss(es) and complete disappointment in Mike-vessio.
The only thing we're asking for in this collaboration thread is to strictly keep it professional. No slander, hate speeches, etc/. The situation is bad enough as it is. Slinging mud won't resolve anything.

I told Mike if a refund is not issued by Monday @ Noon I will file a dispute with Bank of America, as well as a BBB complaint.

I have all of Mike's info including home address, business records, voting registration, etc. So I am not sure what the plan here is. If he is trying to pull a scam, he shouldn't have left a paper trail a mile long.

There is also the online report file with the Houston Police department. When someone accepts payment for services, and no services or refund are provided that is a crime. It is theft. If it is over $5000 it is Grand Theft.

Well his home address is listed on his business license. It matches the voter registration and white pages listing at the same address. To leave an paper trail a mile long is pretty dumb.
