I just got an email back. He will only refund a fifth of what I paid because of how far he got with the site (right!) and I used a webhosting package. Which came with the website for free for the first year, by the way.
What was that domain again? vessiosucks.com?
From what I can tell, the majority of people got refunds.
Now keep in mind that
each refund is a little different and this is for a Service and not a physical product. In Vessio's defense or any web developer, all things take time and effort with work being done you can't see.
If a project is done 95%, and the adjustments are things You want, give the developer a chance to make it right. You also have to keep in mind the Amount Paid for a project and overextending what you ask for.
You can not expect an Ebay.com site for $200.
I was one that requested a refund as well, but have worked with Mike again since then. The problem started a ways back and has been fixed, but again, each refund is different.
If a great deal of work was put into your site, then you want a refund, how fair is that to Any company or service provider that has put in the work already. This may be why Mike is offering a partial refund which I think is fair, as I'm sure Mike will hand over already completed files.
Mike has clearly been in contact via email with the people here (may be not instantly as some want) and since Mike is no longer on NP's and can not defend himself or his company, this has been a one sided thread which should be closed or Mike (vessio) allowed back to defend himself now.
Again, each refund is different! I have worked with Mike and have had nice work done recently.
Just my 2 cents.
