No value if Mike answers this as apparently he has no idea himself, he may be very dependent on others. Nobody posted any sites being finished except one, hard to believe that a few hundred (?)sites all get delivered shortly now.
Worst thing Mike could do now is to post any dates when something will be finished.(unless he states before Christmas next year, then we believe it)
10 simple mini sites ordered/payed sept 04. No deadline set. No point in rushing things now and get mistakes either, as now we really want good sites.

Better wait for 5-10 people to post their just delivered sites here before you order/pay.

but then again, jeffoverman reckons we all will be happy soon.(soon is a very relative expression)

by the way another designer doing work for me also is way behind, so maybe it is a designers disease.

Here is my time line with Mike. I made it clear earlier this week, that if my client does not get some version of a website done by this Friday (today) that he would like a full refund.

10/17 - Paid $320 for Custom Project
10/21 - First Contact from Mike after Payment
10/30 - Email from Mike explaining delays. New Completion date 11/06
11/10 - Email from Mike saying "He will wrap up the project"
11/18 - I let Mike know that Friday is my deadline. He says he will take care of it.
11/21 - Nothing project wise has been delivered as of now.

I am not sure what to say here. I was given Mike's contact as a reference by a trusted friend on these forums, and referred my client to him based on the excellent referral.

I am sorry Mike, but I have been totally disappointed. I understand there are delays, but you have to keep people updated with realistic solutions. I am sure you have good intentions on getting these projects done, but I haven't seen many deadlines met.

Guys, Mike is doing an excellent job juggling all of these requests. Maybe we should be just a bit more patient.

As you can tell by prior posts Mike does great work for what you are paing for. Just a thought.

The deadline came and went on Friday with no update from Mike.

Mike, at this point my client is expecting a full refund.

UPDATE - As of Sunday I still have not heard from Mike. I sent him an email saying my client now expects a full refund. I gave Mike ample time to fulfill his end and he either was unable or unwilling to do it.

To tell you the truth, I think it looks pretty good for the price. I'm not 100% sure on all the function(s) and if they are there as you requested but I know a lot of things can be changed in the admin/backend area's with forums and take a little to get use to. By clicking "On" or "Off" and so on.

Keep in mind your forum is a phpbb forum and NamePros is vBulletin which I'm sure makes a bit of a difference from the "look" and several functions.

Mike may have fallen in love with his control panel, where customers do not care about it and this may have caused a lot of delays.
I just want an email saying everything is finished and not deal with some control panel.

Maybe my sites are ready.
Is it possible my sites are ready? Do not want to bother Mike when he is busy.
I got no email saying things are ready, but cannot figure out from the control panel unless sending a ticket.

I was told that my work will finally be done on the 4th of November which was another lie.
On the 10th of Nobember Mike said that ALL WORK will be delivered that week by the 16th November.

On the 17th of October I asked Mike what's up with my work through the Vession CP and shortly after received a reply of "Your work will soon be ready".

Now that was after the week when he was supposed to hand out all the work like he said.
That time I really had enough. I told him that I don't want to hear anymore excuses and that I want a refund.
This was the second time I have requested a refund since he refused to give me the refund the first time I asked.

About 10 minutes later I received an e-mail saying that my Vession account has been canceled and that it would take up to 5 days for my refund to appear in my PayPal account.

This is the e-mail:

This message is to inform you that your (cp) account and any associated packages with Vessio - Interactive Web Solutions have been canceled. This could be the result of many reasons, the most common reasons include the following:

1.) You have requested your account be closed.
2.) You have requested a refund for the service(s) purchased to create your account initially and we have granted your refund request.
3.) You have violated our terms of service and/or AUP policy.

If your account with us has been canceled due to item (2) of the list above, your payment will be reversed and credited to your original or default payment source. Please allow up to 5 business days of this cancellation for this transaction to process and appear on your account statement.

Now it has been 8 days since my account was canceled and I still have not received the refund of $160 to my PayPal account.
I have e-mailed Mike 3 times and did not receive a single reply to any of my e-mails.

Mike, If you are reading this, please refund my payment ASAP.
Your business can easily be tagged as "Scam". I want to believe that I will be getting my refund today and that you simply forgot about that (Like most of the projects you've worked on...).

i believe so but again thats my thought....i been very happy with the design of things and my mini site.... they have a happy customer by me, yes they do... i plan to deal more work with mike in 09 as well.

sorry to hear about the other peoples experiences....
