Rest of the article: https://www.theverge.com/2018/3/13/17114962/cryptocurrency-bitcoin-crypto-domain-ico Interesting read. In the article there are estimates that Crypto.com is worth $5 to $10 million, what do you think?
btc.com sold originally $1M https://www.coindesk.com/btc-com-domain-sold-gawminers-record/ in 2014, but I thought it was up for re-sale recently?
not sure; the level of ddos attacks from the bitcoin network is astounding. they could easily take down or hack a domain registrar with ease; especially with all the quantum tech and super computer blockchains in near future. This is why the DNS registries will eventually be put onto the blockchain and ICANN will adapt in the near future. All the crypto hacks mostly have been done through dns or server root entry, If this was secured by blockchain technology in which it should as domains are also considered a digital asset; the crypto hacks would have never occurred through the dns root.
I emailed this guy several times before any of these crypto threads were created here, years ago. He didn’t respond once. Imo he could get a huge sum of cash plus equity moving forward. Potentially hundreds of millions...
Trust me..... it will be for sale No No No..... huh.... how much? Yup Yup Yup Only a question of time, better folks than him have been bought and sold. Now do you know what would really be nice........ if he proved me wrong
Consider that not everyone can be bought. Both the Crypto.com guy and the Coin.com guy are guys who have owned their domains long before the cryptocurrency craze. Both have dedicated their lives to their fields: 1. Crypto.com - Matt Blaze - Ph.D in Computer Science; multiple crypto/securities discoveries; research scientist. 2. Coin.com - Ed Waddell - A passion for physical coins from a young age; a numismatist; followed his dreams; built a business from his passion. When you've dedicated your life to your passion, it's not easy to be convinced that you should exchange your passion for money. Because money isn't everything to everybody. And if anybody ever wants to even approach either of these gentlemen, that's the first thing that needs to be considered. And most likely, they will still hold their domains to eternity. ....just my 2 cents
Kind of contradictory no? He is saying its "No..it's not for sale" but "would involve a credible offer of an obscenely large amount of fiat currency"
I have both at once, in one hand: Crypto.Life Coin.Life ...and I'm NOT: Ph.D in Computer Science... research scientist... a numismatist, followed his dreams... Life has already shown me reality! ...and unfortunately, this is far from dreams.
