AI.com Sold for $70 Million in Biggest Domain Name Sale Ever Recorded - Owners of Crypto.com Bought the Name for New Business Launching With Super Bowl Ad

It was widely-known that the AI.com domain name was sold last spring to an unknown buyer for an undisclosed price. Most experts assumed it would have taken an all-time record price to get the name and we now know that was indeed the case. The buyer - the owners of Crypto.com - paid an eye-popping $70 million to acquire the domain.

If buyers already have crypto.com, why create crypto.ai.com? It's useless.

He appears to be an employee of OpenAI.
Strange they didn't buy it from him.

Maybe OpenAI wasn't interested in rebranding to that domain, or maybe they weren't aware that one of their employees owned the domain. It's common for employees to own assets associated with their workplace and keep them hidden. Or maybe there's another Arsyan Ismail who has not related with OpenAI, who knows

After AI.com the domain with the biggest potential seems to be RWAs.com with 800T RWAs ready to be tokenized

Meaningless!

Game.com was once claimed to have been bought for 17 million USD, but the seller eventually clarified it was 3.6 million USD.

Fund.com was reported by domain media to have been sold for 10 million USD, but the deal was ultimately not completed.

The seller (Arsyan) has been involved in multiple scams with the most famous one being BitKingdom where thousands of bitcoins were lost. Me and my brother personally lost 65 BTC together which is over 4 million USD. He was also involved in the Epik scam and to see proof of all this just search Arsyan Ismail BitKingdom or Arsyan Ismail Epik. It's sad to see that its these type of people who thrive in today's society but what can you do when they have the power and money to lobby governments to evade the law...

Hi

they can create any keyword and sell as premium registration, just like it.com did

also an opportunity to take juice away from single word .ai names

ie: agent.ai.com

imoโ€ฆ.

The site is now live, letting users to reserve both a personal username and an agent name.

Given the current progress, news of the $70 million sale has sparked curiosity and gone viral, prompting many people to visit the site. This is a truly brilliant marketing strategy. I visited earlier, and there seemed to be a long line.
