Creating a mini site

I just started using the Blue Voda software to try and create my first ever site. I have everything the way i want it to appear. Now i just want to link it to a domain name i own and publish it. Im the greenest there is when it comes to doing this so basic answers are appreciated. How can i use my domain name as the main domain for my site.

First, you need a host. That doesn't have to be the same as your registrar. There are free hosting services, just google "free website host" or smth similar. Then change your nameservers by your registrar according to your host's instructions. Your host will probably provide you with a user interface, like C-panel. There you upload your files and voila.

I read somewhere that you have to use BlueVoda's web hosting service in order to publish the site to the Web.

Well, there's different ways to build a website.

1. You can grab a free template off the Internet and just customize it with an HTML editor, or
2. You can use a free CMS program like Wordpress to build a site, or
3. You can use a free stand-alone software that you can download to your computer, like Trellian Webpage.

It all depends on your technical knowledge. I personally build most of my sites using Wordpress because you can practically do anything with it and it's easy to use. Plus, there's a ton of free plugins out there.

seeing how this is my first site im creating, im wondering how i can earn money from it once its up and running. I am taking my best parked domain to do this. Just wondering if i still get monthly revenue the same way as if its parked?

Sorry I can not understand you guys... Majority of you is not building Mini Sites, BUT Micro sites. Does anybody of you have passion of making a Website and write about the topic of expertise???

The risk of identity theft, corruption and harassment is a major deterrent for developing a single big website, not many are interested in mini/micro websites.
