When I joined in 2004, I was member 6671, a complete n00b
and I fell in love with this place right from the start.
Back then NP was known as "that other" forum,
where the members were helpful and unselfish,
like that was a bad thing. NamePros had / has a soul.
Well brothers and sisters, look at NP now.
All grown up, still helpful to all, and "#1 with a bullet".
Thanks to everyone along the way that contributed to
what has always been an outstanding community.

Now there are 999,796 at 8:41 PM UTC May 9.

If you just extend that same pace out, the millionth member would occur at 10:27 PM May 16, which looks good for @Domaineus who has 9:00 PM May 16.

I have been watching this, and there is surprising consistency. I calculate it once a day, and it seems to always land on May 16 or May 17.

This last number that @Cyberian just noted brings my ETA to: May 16 at 5:47 PM UTC, about 20 hours from now. Since the contest closed on April 30, NP has been adding 29 members per day on average.
