Correct Or Not > @ GoDaddy...

I have a couple of domains at GoDaddy for which I would like to update the Admin/Billing/Tech details.

Is the following correct or not:

If I update those details there at GoDaddy, then a 'renewed' 'wait 60 days before you can transfer the domains in question out to another registrar' type rule goes in effect there!? (I know, this would not be the case at any other registrar (?), but at GoDaddy it appearantly is!? So... Correct or not)

Thanks in advance!
Rob

Hmmm... Doesn't look promising then.

OK, thanks! :)

In reference to that other thread, I was never able to find a way around it. I ended up leaving my names there and renewing them. The rule has forced me to change the way some sales transactions are completed, regarding transfers to new owner's registrar of choice (etc).

It appears we have to live with it. :'(

yeah godaddy uses the 60 days as a buffer zone to avoid fraud or domain hijacking. Even if you just update the admin/billing/contact info..

Those bastards. :(

Thanks guys! :)

Oh, one more question, still... Do they see unlocking or locking of a domain also as an incentive to restart the '60 days' countdown, or not? It doesn't seem like it, but...

Only if you have names with Go Daddy, that is. :bah:

BTW, that thread references only if the domain's pushed to another account
with them. Is it still in effect if you just changed the admin contact email as
well!?
