.com with £1 (i have registered 30+ so far)

I have just found that uk2.net has a weekend promo, offering .com's with £1 (without vat).

I do not know if there is a limit, but so far I have registered 35 domains!!!

I didn't know this registrar...it appeared as an advertisement at my instagram.
when i registered the domains, it took around 20 minutes to appear to my account, and 2 of them haven't appeared yet. Instead is appearing a message "currently being set-up".

they do not mention about any fee, in case i want to transfer out the domains. I read the terms and conditions, but i didn't find something.
The domains are set autorenew, but you can change it to manual, through the control panel.
They accept Paypal.

Has anyone actually completed successful registrations?. My experience:
a) I used their live chat (instant connection) and they confirmed that there is no transfer-out fee.
b) Then I did a bulk registration. Needed to check the domains one by one. Each .com domain was automatically added to my cart with a free .online domain (with the option to remove before payment). I was not given the option of adding any DNS settings etc.
c) Then I made a single payment by Paypal. There was no way to remove the VAT though I am outside the UK. I got a message saying that my order is awaiting approval and if urgent I should call or email them. Their phone is picking up but I only got silence - no recorded message with opening hours. I have sent an email. Their live help said they can't assist with approvals and I need to call Billing at 9 a.m. UK time.

I really hope that this works out, as did Fasthost's £1 deal a few years ago - but who knows...

My pressing need now is for ultra-cheap transfers. (Yes, the Epik rate today for Cyber Monday is very good, but I'm looking for cheaper)...

If I click the link I see Congratulations, you have been successfully referred and can now cash in on one of our special offers! and abutton to special promotions WITH 1 GBP/ month, not domains. I don't find anywhere how I can register ? I only see "login". But I first have to register and make an account I think => where can I do that ? Are you sure the domains don't come with hosting (the promotion of .com and .co.uk of 1 GBP without VAT.

Is there free PUSH possible to other such accounts ?

I PMd also Yaffa, and she didn't register yet, and started simply registerring domans and didn't get a follow up mail. She will call at 9 am UK-time to know more. And then we will know more.

Update: Yes DNS servers can be changed, but only one-by-one. Support staff don't have the facility to bulk change DNS either. However they can turn off auto renewal in bulk.

Yes, you can manage DNS and has both push and transfer out.
I have already changed the DNS to some of my domains.

I managed to register 35 domains.
After I posted here, I tried to buy another 20, domains, but the payment wasn’t proceeding. I didn’t check further, because it was too late here and I had to sleep.
I will check again later.

Regarding the registration.
They do not have registration without buying a domain.
What I did....

First I bought one domain , and it asked for my details ...name, email etc, then I paid (they didnt ask for username and password).
After 20 minutes I received an email, where I had to click to a link to approve my details.
I did this and then I received another email that my purchase was successful.
But I didn’t receive any email with username or password.
I was puzzled how to login...so I went to login area and I chose “I forgot my username”...then I received an email with my username, which was my email.
Then I went back and I pressed “I forgot my password”...I received an email to reset my password.

I did it and then I managed to login.
The domain was there...and the first thing I did was to remove the autorenew successfully.
Then I changed the dns! Everything was good.

And then I bought the rest of 34 domains.

Regarding the referral link, I do not know if it works or no.
When you login at your account, it gives you the option to refer a friend...so I copied the link. If it doesn’t direct to the promotion, please do not use it and go straight to the website.

I will check if I can do more purchases this morning and I will update you.

 

It is after 9:30 am in England I could still not reach them by phone so I tried online chat with billing. They said that the order needs to be approved by the verification team, which can take up to 24 hours and they can't be contacted by phone or email. He did say that pushes as well as transfers out are free..

Edited to add that my order now appears to have gone through - without the VAT!

UK2.net have been around for some time, certainly since I can remember. I haven't used them for a few years but I have in the past. They did have quite a high profile in the UK, so I wouldn't worry about their reputation, sites professional layout with some of the same mass editing problems you get on pretty much all services these days.

This deal seems very good seeing it doesn't appear to have any limitations. As when there is any popular promotion, their help-desk is likely to be swamped with new account set-up problems and queries, So I wouldn't worry too much about a slow response while the promo is getting traction. Just persevere with your own set-up attempts as Dorje (member) above has done

 

Every transaction for them requires a verified team! Because I need to buy 200,000 .com domain names. I ’m worried that they wo n’t finish the transaction at this speed

 

did you get the verification email, and you domain has been registered now or not yet? how much time they took to verify this all?

Also, did you get any email after submitting the order as I just reg one with them and did not get an email yet, its almost 10 minutes that I registered

 

I have all domains registered, apart from 2, which I am waiting.
For all the rest, I have received verification email.

 

Just an update..

I opened a ticket with them, because i cannot buy more, due to the payment is not being proceed.

They told me that it is because of the high volume at the moment and that I should try later.

 

I very much dout you will be allowed to but that many !

 

I think it will take ages for them to approve all your domains.

For the 35 domains I ordered, it took them about 45 minutes to approve them....and it was before everyone started to buying.

Please enlighten all of us as to how you arrived at that many pending-registration - I'm sure many of us would just love to know
