Of the following two examples, which do you think is better for a company website?

If the company name is "Phone Company One" would you prefer pc1.com or pco.net as the company website and why?

This is just a made up example, but I am curious to see what everyone prefers.

Thanks

.com is better

I'd take both, the .net is more appropiate but some people always just type in .com. You could do a 301: .com ---> .net

take both if you feel both are worth and important and redirect them to .COM to .NET.

I like the .net in this cast because it is three letters versus two letters and one number, IMO

Thanks for all the feedback. If you are reading this, please post your opinion. Keep in mind that I am just using these domains as examples and am not the owner or interested in of either of them. I am just curious to see what everyone would do with sites like these.

To clarify, the question is not "how much should you pay to get them" or "how much are they worth if you sell them" the question is "if you own both domains, which would you use as your business site."

:imho: Registering both names will be a good option as .com is the most popular extension typed and associated with a website by many, while .net will be more relevant to the site's content. You can also redirect from .com to .net.

If I was the owner of both the domains I would use the .net name and redirect the .com to it, but then it will also depend on the site's content and relevancy of the name. .com will be suitable for all businesses.
