Which is better...

SELLNOUNS.COM
NOUNSALES.COM

Where NOUN is a Noun. Any other suggestions? If .com is taken, then please rank .net/.org/.biz/.us/.tv/.co, or any others. It's obviously for a website for selling nouns.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
SELLNOUNS.COM
I would search or type sell mobile or sell house or sell bike or sell car and not car sales.

Thanks for all your replies so far. Keep them rolling in. I do tend to agree with those who say they might search for "SELL NOUNS", rather than search for "NOUN SALES"

@nitin I liked NOUNSHOP.COM and NOUNSTORE.COM also but they are both taken in .com and are expensive buys (too expensive imho). But then it comes down to what is unregistered. Often most every other ext for NOUNSHOP/STORE are unregistered. Then the question gets more complicated. Is NOUNSHOP/STORE.NET a better choice than SELLNOUNS/NOUNSALES.net/.org/.biz/.us/.tv/.co?

"sellnouns" sounds like a place for an individual to sell nouns.

"nounsales" sounds like a place for an individual to buy nouns

Exactly.

Assuming you are the one doing the selling, nounsales.com would definitely be preferable.

Thanks cdboard and south. I hadn't realized that. To me, NOUNSALES sounds like a place for historical reporting the sale of Nouns, and therefore inferior.

Since the .com's are long gone in all these examples and some of the other extensions too. I would like to get some opinions how you/anyone would rank the other extensions mentioned.

Yeah, I agree nounsales sounds better, I think. But as you said it can also sound like a site for historical data or discussion. But depends on the mindset I suppose. I think noun/shop/store.net is also slightly more fitting to your purpose. As far as tlds go: net, biz, us, co, org, tv... for a business in that order.

That's interesting that you both have .net/.biz 1 and 2. I'd always thought the .biz was kinda always a no-no (in my own mind). Also that you put .us third in front of .co, I was thinking .us was also a no-no too. Probably because I can't sell any .biz or .us domains. Although these domains would be for development, not for sale. I can kinda understand your thinking about .org and .tv though.

Yeah, I don't like .biz at all for businesses... it doesn't look "professional" enough. I rather use .us or .co, but .biz has more registrations than either one of them I think so it may have a stronger presence perhaps.

@Stub Are You sure that NOUNSHOP.COM and NOUNSTORE.COM are both taken in .com .. I just checked and they are available. So why not go for 1 of these..

You don't know which NOUN I'm referring to.

OK. Here is the results of my investigation. The NOUN is Domains, with synonyms Names and DN. All TLD's mentioned above are registered

DomainSales - I own nothing
NameSales - I own .us/.tv
SellDomains - I own .tv
SellNames - I own .us/.tv
DomainStore - I own nothing
NameStore - I own .us
DNStore - I own .biz/.us/.co
DomainShop - I own nothing
NameShop - I own .us/.tv
DNShop - I own .org/.biz/.us/.tv

Most of these domains I own are new registrations. So as you will notice .us/.tv had the most unregistered domains.

So what are my conclusions? "Sell Domains" has 1.6M exact searches in Google. "Domain Sales" has 2.05M exact searches in Google, but most of the first page is full of historical sales data, like DNJournal and NameBio. So I think "Sell Domains" beats out "Domain Sales" as the best descriptive domain for selling domains. But agree it's a close thing. Having said that, the only "Sell Domains" domain I own is the .tv. Whilst I agree this is not the perfect TLD to use for selling domains, I think it's the best alternative I have.

Please discuss your thoughts and opinions.
