Hello NamePros,

We'd like to introduce Binomus (binomus.com) to the NamePros community.

Binomus is a domain registrar offering .com, .net, and .org registrations at $4.49 — no volume caps, no first-year-only pricing. The rate applies to every registration, whether it's your first or your hundredth.

A few things worth noting:

  • The entire platform is custom-built from the ground up. We don't rely on third-party reseller panels, which means faster iteration and full control over the user experience.
  • We're a new platform. Rather than positioning ourselves as a finished product, we're launching with a strong core — domain search, registration, and management — and building outward from there.
  • We're actively looking for feedback. We believe the best way to build a registrar people actually want to use is to listen to the people who use registrars every day.

Our goal is straightforward: make domain registration more accessible without the hidden fees and upsell patterns that have become the industry norm.

If you have questions about pricing, supported TLDs, or how the platform works, we're happy to answer them here.

28/03/2026:
General update: We've activated 1 automated worker for domain registration. It's still not quite as fast as you'd like, but registrations are now processed in an automated registration queue. After initial testing, we'll activate more simultaneous workers to improve speed.

29/03/2026:
We have integrated and activated the WHOIS verification process. You can now verify your WHOIS profile in the dashboard using your contact email address. After this process, the frequently asked question about incorrect WHOIS country will be resolved, and the information you entered will be displayed.

@jasong83, Your fee has been refunded to your balance, and we've sent you an email explaining the situation. We apologize again for the inconvenience.

@Daniel Owens, We currently use Squarespace for our top-level registrar. You can also check out a sample WHOIS query for the binomus.net domain name.

Nice I think more people need to test and see how well you guys are. The UI looks solid. Do you lose money on each domain that is registered?

@Daniel Owens, Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately, I cannot provide information regarding domain costs, but I should mention that this offer is for a limited time. While the expiration date is not currently set, we may need to update our prices in the future.

It would be nice to have some clarity around your path forward here. Obviously, it is not sustainable to have new reg's @ $4.49 and renewals @ $5.99 in the long-term. I can only assume this is special pricing until you build your DUM to a critical mass, then prices will be adjusted significantly. This is fair enough, and to be expected (for a new entrant wanting to build quickly, discount pricing is probably the easiest way to do it).

However, you need to be aware that if customers (domainers in particular) become accustomed to discount pricing, then prices are adjusted upward, many will view this as a rug pull. I am not one of them, as I realise the economics of running a business, though you will buy yourself a lot more credibility if you can provide some information about your promo pricing - is it running for a certain time frame, or until you build to a certain level of DUM (what is this level)? And what sort of prices will we be looking at going forward?

E.g. If I were to transfer say 1,000 domains to you, I would want to know now if renewals were going to be $9.99 in a year's time, rather than the advertised price at the current date.

From a product perspective, while I appreciate that you're going for a minimalist design, if I had found your website without the context of this forum thread, I would have moved on hastily. I can't get ANY information at all without signing up. I would have assumed it was a honeypot operation to steal my data. Where is the About Us page? And the T's and C's, and Privacy Policy?

And since you're a reseller, rather than ICANN-accredited registrar, I think this should be pointed out on your About Us page.

Good points. I am also curious if it’s more of a promotion than anything else. I haven’t seen a deal like that since 3 years ago when registers were doing $1.99 .com promos that last for a day like on black friday. Long-term, it’s hard to say whether this is sustainable and I would like to know when the good pricing is going to end.

The closest discounts at scale in recent history were with Unstoppable. Pretty similar registration prices to start with I think, but now they are somewhere around $9.99 for renewals (from memory). This is somewhat more sustainable. However, they have some deep pockets backing them and were able to run these loss-leaders for a time to build their DUM. Binomus will need even deeper pockets to do renewals @ $5.99.

Thanks for the clarification

i understand you are still in early stage but as many senior members pointed out main concern is trust consistency and reliability especially with manual registrations pending or disappearing domains and lack of transparency also considering feedback from senior members you really need to create proper about us terms and conditions privacy pages and overall trust signals

@Binomus Honestly it would be better to make the platform more complete and stable first and then start promoting it on namepros because pre release promotion with such aggressive pricing can naturally raise suspicion.

Concept and pricing is interesting but for serious usage clear backend details stable system and proper trust signals are very important

Cooking forward to see how it develops

Do you allow your customers to transfer their domain after 60 days without asking them to renew first or they must pay 1x renewal fees before they move out from your registrar ?

Thank you

32 domains pending since last night I appreciate you said it's manual but not a single one has been processed, after this order is complete I'll hold off until you manage to automate things.

@jasong83, Due to the current high demand, manual processes may be delayed, but we have made significant progress on automation during this time. We expect to complete automation within the next 48 hours and register all pending domain names quickly. Thank you for your patience.

@Domen, For new registrations, you can request your domain transfer code after the 60-day ICANN transfer limit; no additional fees are charged.

Usually resellers don't offer affiliate programs but yeah this register appears to be basically in the beta phase with not all features working. Hopefully, soon they have automatic domain creation. Where when you register it's in your account in seconds not hours.

Sounds good. Automatic registration really is a must for an MVP. If you can get that running and address a few other things mentioned here, plus keep up the engagement with the NamePros community, you could become a domainer's best friend. ;)

We'd like to provide a general update; we've made significant improvements to automatic registrations. While fully automated registration isn't yet active, we'll be rolling it out gradually to the production environment over the next few days, after which we plan to activate automatic registration for all domains. Thank you all for your patience so far.

@Domen, We are not currently offering or planning on a partnership (resell) program. As @Daniel Owens also pointed out, we are not keen on offering such a program without an ICANN-accredited provider.

Edit: While we don't currently have the infrastructure to offer a "affiliate" program, we could consider it in the future.

If I register a name with you can I transfer the ownership of it immediately to someone else who also has an account with you?
