If you want the cache of .org, but want the traffic of .com, you could use the .org for your actual URL and the .com as a redirect.
When I set up my brother-in-law's non-profit site, I used the .org for his main address, but regged the .com for the redirect. Having the .com alleviates the inevitable confusion and stops cybersquatters from regging YOUR business name in .com.
Call it cheap insurance.
