.CO Makes $250k In Its 1st Domain Auction In China

.CO, part of Neustar, Inc., had its first domain name auction in China. The auction, which was held exclusively on Chinese auction platform 22.cn, offered 19 two-letter domains like CY.co and XN.co.

The auction concluded today July 13. The total proceedings of the auction were about $250,350.

Top sellers were cy.co that was sold for $32k and zq.com that sold for $29k.

That is nice sales and many big buyer still buying 1 and 2 character in few of the big cctld, reason is they want to control all name under them so they can flip at very high, they will only buy upto 3 character max because after that 4 character name is lots of to control , so i think upto 3 character is safe investment after that is good if you hand register but buying from after market is speculation, just my 2 cent.

No all 3l.co is gone may be all 4l.co also gone but on this next renewal period(when all 4l.co registered in mass don't know exact month) u will able to find some good 4l.co for hand registration prices.

You are correct, I quoted correctly but the info in the quote was wrong. Of course zq.co sold for $29k, not zq.com.
