.co domains. Do they have a future?

I registered HighTraffic.co and just now noticed that renewal costs are quite high. What is the future of .co domains? Will they have good value in the future?

Don't register 2 word .co's for investment. If you want to develop that, it's a different story, but for investment stick to short, brandable, 1 word .co's.

I'm a fan of the extension. I've owned 6 and have sold 3.

IMO, only the ultra-premium mainly one word high search keywords and 2 letters and 2digit, numbers.
