ClubDrop (Or Enom), the next target of Oversee.net??

It was just anounced that Snapnames is bought by Oversee.net in last 24 hours, and I am worry that ClubDrop (or even Enom) would be next one :(

Let me explain why:

The day before yesterday, I found that "Numbers of Enom's Pre-Release Names suddenly deceased sharply". I posted here and try to understand why. And just got reply from Enom reps as below:

Hello XXX,

We are testing the SnapNames platform for auctioning off expired names. We are not doing this for all names (which is why there are still some in our pre-release queue). The names going to SnapNames should not be confused with our "pre-release" auction process, it's totally different - domains that get sold or auctioned there are gone - no auction challenges.

I don't know when we'll be done testing or whether or not we'll be using that platform, but if we do decide to go with that, I'm sure we will alert you.

Thank you,

So, I think no doubt that Clubdrop would be mergered with Snapnames when the platform test done (The quantity of Pre-release name is much less than Drop names so it is easier for testing). If this DO happen in next few days, we will lose a good place to backorder qualified domains with lower price.. :( :( :(

Since SnapNames is just sold, who is the buyer in this exchange?? Demand Media would buy Oversee.net ? Or Oversee.net would buy Enom from Demand Media ??

No matter who is the buyer, the backorder service would have 2 big players after that, and we must pay much higher for interested domains because of the Bids on SnapNames are always crazy

It is not a good news for me :(

Interesting reply.

It seems that they are not satisfied with the prices they are getting from their pre-release sales and/or there isn't enough competition to drive up the prices. That sounds like a nail in the coffin for ClubDrop.

I hardly ever visit ClubDrop anymore. Mostly the name quality is 99.99% crap. Probably because eNom are keeping the best for themselves. they know the traffic on every domain at ClubDrop.

the auction terms at enom is not very clear, sometimes you can not win the auction
even if you bid the max. I don't like it at all.

I think that is because of your bids didn't meet the reserve. They have a $30 reserve for Public Auctions
