Labeled as REQ-LOGO in Design Contests started by Rory Ivey, Dec 2, 2018.
Here it is!
First version: same "L" as the very first concept
Second: thicker "L" and red triangle in the "T"
I also put it on a dark background for demonstration.
Same design with apparel written out.
It looks great, especially seeing it on the black background..the contrast brings it out more. I was thinking about that..
Also, I def like the red at the bottom of the T and the new touch of red at the top of the W.
I will keep this design on the shortlist!
Thanks for joining and submitting a new concept!!
The design is really nice! It feels like a brand and showing it on a tshirt really helps.
I also like lions...my favorite animal.
1. The lion silhoutte* is good. Not sure if it's common or stands out though.
maybe add subtle definition in it's hair like this example:
Or any other idea you may have.
2. You spelled the word Aparrels* but it should be: apparel
3. The font used is nice..it can work. Not sure if it's custom though?
4. Color may be added too like this palette... etc
This design will also be on my short list.
Looking forward to edits and any other concepts you may have.
Thanks for the feedback.. I'll make some adjustments now
Looking forward to new amazing designs!!!
All are welcome!!!!
This is in the lead so far!
For the logo on the black background(without the word apparel):
1. The "H" has to red triangle in the middle. Can you make the right triangle the green color and leave the left side as is (red). thnx
2. Can you also do a version with a horizon background behind the logo text in the very center. With like a round ring going over the top to represent like a sunset and the silloutte of a lion jumping pass it. But please make lion nice and custom if you can. I'll try to find examples....
It's almost similar to this look except the text is at the bottom. The sun would not show below the text. Just the half ring with the lion. The sun would only show half, lets than what i did in the example above. The lion king text would not be there and it would be pushed down.
See how that sun shows half only on text...but blended in.
The mustard yellow of text should be this richness or shade... yellowish orange.
Keep consistent with the colors from this logo... even the brown is missing:
Unleash your creativeness and pull this off.
Even make the sun unique.
Thanks a million
Thank you for the great ideas!
Here is the lion concept.
I created two versions. The first is more concentrated on the lion's hair, the second is just one color.
I wanted to represent the sun the best as I can without adding more colors to the logo.
Here is another version with a lot simpler text. Let me know if you like this.
This looks amazing man!
I'll definitely have some people look on it too.
I like the one on the "right more"...full silhouette
I like the brown you added to the W too
1. I think you used the wrong shade of green on the H. It should be the same green that's used throughout the logo already. I really wanted the colors to be close to this example I gave..
Also, are you able to put streaks in the lions hair just like the one in this example. Wanted to see if that added more character to the lion and differenciates it a little from all the google images lol
Wow, I love the simplicity here...but not sure yet if i would choose it over the other look..hmm
I also think the lion you have looks too classic and normal and a lil fat lol. Some extra feedback i got. It needs to look custom and more artistic like the one below.
Thanks for the feedback.
The lion is actually drawn by me
I will make it more abstract as soon as I can.
I'm getting feedback from some friends and clothing designers.
One person love the idea of a lion jumping over the sun.
but they also said the design looks too ethnic. Which i didn't think of, but of course lol. Because it was inspired by that melanin logo. That may send the wrong message.
One person said the colorful look doesn't look mature enough. I guess with colors we have to find a balance, a look that adults can wear too.
They are pros and cons for the other logos in the contest too.
Your logo is on the shortlist also. Haven't heard back from you?
Do you have any other concepts or do you think you can even bring this current concept to another level?
Here is the revision as requested.
I simplified the colors and changed the shape of the lion.
Thanks! The first one looks good,
but the colors are too ethnic. Maybe a change in colors may make a difference, Maybe blue instead of green, maybe red or purple etc...
Also, I'd like to see one new concept....so I can hopefully decide this week. I saw this puma logo...not official... but i like the concept.
It's stylish but mature! I would definitely wear that on a shirt. Do you think "TALLAWAH" could pull this off? Only difference is the lion would be the feature instead of a big cat.. change the font also. Thick is fine or custom. Make sure the lion looks great across it too....I love this idea for a lion. You can definitely do black and white like this...and leave to option to change colors if needed.
Thanks! Lemme know if you can pull this off?
@Rory Ivey Check these. The lion have been edited to show clearly the mane and the "apparel" spelling corrected. Let me hear your view sir
The third one is the right idea. But the Lion just doesn't look right with this particular concept...The face almost look like a boar and the head isn't on top of logo like example. Also the lion chest area is not too apparent.
I'll make this design idea open. thanks
Thanks for the edits... You started strong so I definitely wanted to see other concepts you had.
I really Like how you designed/drew the lion! That's a plus
I have a open concept I want you to take a shot at. It's in the image below:
I think If this design is done right and as close to this example as possible, then it would work. Hopefully your lion fits it..or adjust where needed. also, the text/font would need to be nice and thick, but in a cool way. I just want it to look like a brand you can rock on a tshirt and grow.
Not bad at all.
1. You forgot to end the word with "h"
2. I really wanted it to look like the example so can i see it with all the letters capitalized?
https://www.fontspace.com/gluk/digitalt This looks like a thick font...or if you find one better. it will allow more of the lion to have the contrast effect. The lions head should be right on top like example.
Separate names with a comma.
