I’m wondering how much value CleanAcne.com holds in your eyes. The domain can be used for anything within the acne industry; quite possibly as a guide to 'clean acne,' monetized via the Adsense platform. Bear in mind, this is amongst the highest paying Adsense niches. The domain has 543,000 results (7,530 in quotes), and Google Trends shows that the number of searches for the keywords itself have been increasing exponentially as can be seen here. Adwords' Keyword Tool also indicates significant advertiser competition on the keywords 'clean acne' with an estimated $3 CPC. So, what price-tag would you attach to this domain? As always, reputation points will be awarded to everyone. :)

I think itd be great for a website.

The domain alone could be worth $x,xxx in the right hands, but as a reseller, i would put it at no less that $150 :)

Judging by this post, I would suggest that you gain a bit more familiarity on how others appraise domains, before doing so yourself. Your opinion is appreciated, nonetheless. :) Are there any established members who would be willing to offer suggestions as to the domains value? I have a vague idea of its worth, but would appreciate confirmation.

you can monetize this via joebucks.com or genbucks.com with their acne affiliated sites and anti-acne contents with articles as well.

This is a good name for acne related articles, especially selling acne products. I'd say low high $xx to low $xxx.

Hi Mr. Websites,

I don't have a specific appraisal for your domain name, but I did want to pipe in with another note.

I believe that the dramatic increase in "clean acne" on Google trends has something to do with an apparently recent product by Johnson & Johnson, "Clean & Clear" (cleanandclear.com). Compare the two charts and you'll see what I mean (although you might disagree on the correlation). So, just be careful in avoiding the direction of their trademark on this one. :)

I personally like the name. However, there are a few fine points to look at here.

First, google trends cannot be a trusted source if you are looking for "exact" keyword trends. For example, if someone searches for "clean and clear acne control" google trends also groups that in for the phrase "clean acne". So, any search phrases containing "clean" and "acne" are going to show up in google trends.

As far as the CPC for the phrase "clean acne", I find the best way to get an actual feel for what kind of prices you can expect, is to type this phrase into google and see how many pages of ads you get on the right. For the phrase "clean acne" there are currently 4 advertisers. This means for minimum bid, you could also be placed on the first page of advertisers right now. Not trying to "rain on your parade", but just trying to give you a more reliable method.

Even though there is no overture or wordtracker data for the phrase "clean acne", this doesn't mean the site doesn't hold value. I think it is a simple, memorable, and effective name. And therefore, has some inherent value. I would expect high XX to low XXX from a reseller. From and end user, who knows.... anything from XXX to X,XXX. But end users are generally that much harder to find.

Having been in the affiliate business for a number of years, I know as most others do that the acne system affiliate business is one of the most competitive out there. There are literally thousands of sites out there trying to sell acne systems as affiliates, because these programs offer such high commissions. So, if you are just starting your acne site now, the competition is fierce and it is going to be extremely hard to make money. I'm not saying you can't... just that it is going to be tough.

All in all though, it's a pretty good name. I would honestly develop it out, make a nice clean site, get some traffic, then look for an interested buyer. Chances are with a few hours work on a name like this you could sell it for double what you would get for just the name. Good luck.

JGK: I will definitely keep that in mind, and thank-you for the heads up! :xf.love:
Fragger: This is by far the most thorough and informative appraisal I've received. Your post is certainly going to help with my future valuations, and I can't help but give you more than a few reputation points. I'm sending a couple of NP$ your way; it's not much, but a token of my appreciation since you appear to be down on them. :)
Others: I've added reputation points for you all.

More than happy to help.

Also, in the case that you do develop out the site and use adsense for at least some of the monetization... I have a suggestion. I have a few Skin Care sites that I have put up, and for a while the adsense earnings were not quite what I was looking for. So, I decided to try section targeting to display very targeted ads. I "told" adsense only to use content that was heavily directed towards high end skin care products by using the following technique.

Use the following HTML tags to emphasize a page section for adsense.

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
CONTENT GOES HERE THAT YOU WANT ADSENSE TO NOTICE
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

*This way, the ads that are shown are only specific to the content that you want adsense to "notice".

You can also designate sections you'd like to have ignored by adding a (weight=ignore) to the starting tag:

<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->

Hope this helps.

I quite like this name. To a reseller, I would say Low to Mid $xxx. To the right enduser, you could get a lot more.

$100 and that's just my estimate of what a reseller would pay... :kickass:

To the right end-user (and trust me, not hard to find for such an awesome domain) it'd be worth a lot but then again, as people say, a domain is worth only as much as someone is prepared to pay :)

To a reseller this domain should be worth around low $xxx - mid xxx$, but with enduser ( I'm quite sure you will find one) you could fetch into $x,xxx figure. Good luck.
