Is it a somewhat good estimate that
chinese LLLL.com premiums are at at least $1billion value today?
Unlike Number .coms chinese premium LLLL.com boomed in value in a very short period.
Will they hold their value or is it the biggest BUBBLE ever seen in domains?

Share your thoughts please

Let me say the truth about QIYY for $306.

The LLLL.com domains can be good if:

1. It is a strong acronym. Like any quad-premium or good triple-premium with good letters at good positions. Like QMMA, JKSC.com. QIYY is not

2. It is pronoucneable and brandable thus. QIYY is not. I would any day prefer hypothical 8L DABRAFIX than QIYY. Well there is very small possibility that big company would pay 2k for QiYY, but let's be realistic.

3. It is collectible CP investment. It is not.

So I assume this is bottom-end LLLL.com investment that will never find end-user and will rise only in case Chinese will buy them in desperacy of having CP with just one useless letter, or this collectible will rise along with the whole market moving after CPs.

Right. I am happy you think that way. I don't look for competitors jacking up the prices. But, just for info, I do make 6 figure sales of my own domains.

Might be these domains not like QIYY.com?

Well, define "like". They have characters before the dot and an extension after... Pretty much all of them.

Like is not enough. Letters matter. Something like QIZZ would be very nice, but QIYY is a bad domain. This particular domain. IMO. It is still LLLL, but I can't tell wow, congrats good purchase. It's not much better than smth like QVZU. That's all I wanted to say not even trying to offend you or call into question your abbilities to make 6 figure sales on other domains ;)

Chaomi shows $2650 (16888).

Unprecedented floors are being built daily. Just how high is the elevator going?

Sure, no problem ) I am happy with QIYY and I have use for it. That is all that matters.
I don't buy domains with the thought that I'll sell them. I only buy ones I could use myself eventually.
I would not probably be able to use QVZU though and I am usually quite creative )

Mr Schilling is likely still laughing and constantly checking his bank account to make sure he wasn't dreaming. I think I will sell now as I'm sure I saw several people say in this very thread 'this time it's different' or words to that effect.

Well, it does not say what was the composition of his portfolio.
If out of 2000 names only 400 were CP even at $2500 that is 1M. So he sold the others for average of 2M/1600=1,250$.
Meaning, probably buyer paid premium over the market (% depends on composition). It would be really hard to buy that many in short period without pushing the market over the board and doubling prices.

Pay attention you already say "buy that many in short period without pushing the market over the board and doubling prices"

not

"sell that many in short period without pushing the market over the board and dumping prices"

:) Buyer surely wants to own even more domains and he plans to buy more before prices double. Yes CPs are bubble, but I think we are just starting

Well, somebody pays 3 millions for a portfolio of LLLL. Perhaps this is the time when he plans to sell all of them one by one to dump the prices? :) Or he surely will not have enough money on domain parking and will drop them next year? I can't choose the right reason for your conclusion ;)

Like I said before, at this price levels, you simply have to sell.
http://www.thedomains.com/2015/04/2...-of-200k-domains-to-godaddy-for-28-1-million/
I mean price there $150 each or something like that.
Buydomains sale also $100 each

and now someone comes and says, hey man i give you $1500 each for your random 4 letters.

You don`t ask for $2k, you say thank you man. I love you, you are so kind

You will never make that money sitting on them. Thats for sure.

3 miljon deal it's like adding oil into the fire, only 144 CP domains left, comparing to 178 on previous day in
$2,000 - $2999 BIN price range on Godaddy

Chaomi reports: price up (17766 RMB) $2842

Well, if already bigger guys think, wow at $1500 level I am happy, lets get rid of those.
This are guys who donยดt need the money right now.

Ok Frank sold at $1500 each, and I think they probably where Chinese premiums, size of his protfolio says, he probably holds a lot of 4 letters more. But I have no actual stats.

So next time someone bigger wakes up, hey I have 3000 of those, and they give me $2000 each.

They look at the domains and think, hey
1)they don`t make any money parking - most of them don`t do even $8 a year
2)hey I sell maybe 1% in year, if I am lucky. (for over $4000)
3) I paid $50 for it years ago
4) eat renewals

Look at the news, there are some alreay that the bigger boys are selling.

Although I am sure this bubble will burst, it is bullish that someone was willing to buy 2000 domains at $1500 each all in one go.

I can't see how they will ever make money from them but they obviously have a plan.

Hopefully quad premiums will start to rocket in value so I can cash out!

Sometimes it might just be the joy of the game , as soon one hits selling number the hunt is done to count and justify / define /reason sort of limits ones intuitive knowing capacity to retrieve enthusiasm in the playing field of one ideas ........ , but you know with that amount of money one is sure to invest again in what one enjoys doing and there we have more perpetuation & more money will be put towards this experience and the 4l domains space is sure to thrive ,.... like nutritional vitamins for growing insights in future happening ... ......

In this morning's emails, I have offers ranging from $450 to $8000 for my LLLL.com.

It's crazy out there! D-:

This are "Public Buy Now" domains, usually know as premium listed names, not the auctions.

It will be interesting to see what will happen on the market after the weekend.

The situation is change very quickly, now only 127 domains left in 2K-3K price range.

Are high price on expiring auctions or at public auctions too?
