Is it a somewhat good estimate that
chinese LLLL.com premiums are at at least $1billion value today?
Unlike Number .coms chinese premium LLLL.com boomed in value in a very short period.
Will they hold their value or is it the biggest BUBBLE ever seen in domains?

Share your thoughts please

I agree with you on that one.

But I don´t agree on sucking out China people, come on, they are clueless, they have never had internet, they don´t know the value of domains. After that crash they will not have eat for years.
what will they have? they will have a lot of domains, thats for sure.

And tell me whats different about 2007/2008 4 letter bubble?

Everything is different. Economy is different, China is different. And what is most important - investors are different. In 2007/2008 rich domainers and domain companies (that became rich because of selling domains) mostly ignored LLLL.com market (because they are bad for end-users). This gave a possibility to us, poor guys to make buy out and buy good domains (as we thought) and hype the price. None of us were millionairs (most of us). But poor guys' hands are weak. This was a problem. And renewals were problem. Now market evolved and selling just one CP lets you renew the whole portfolio and see your fund raise further.

Move along with the market leaders. They are tied with their investment and they will never sell all their domains at open market without loosing money. So this is already their problem not to let the market go down.

Come one, you post same things that I do, only difference is that I say its a bad thing and you say its very good thing.

You say 4 letter = bad for end-user = I agree
They don´t make money = renewal fees = have to let drop = I agree

For whom the Chinese collect them? if they can`t sell them to end-users? and they don`t make money parking.

System like this will collapse at one point.

Come on $7 for renewal a year, you had to pay $7 bucks. 100 of those would´have taken you $700 a year.
I mean if they didn`t make even $700 then,
now everybody here thinks they are worth $2000, some even $3000
I again quete my favourite TV SHOW "Boy, have you lost your mind?"

and now Rich Chinese will buy them all, and keep forwever, give ma a break

Who cars about end-user sales and money parking when market is moving up?

Just compare LLLL.coms to Gold. It also has almost none practical use. Chains and rings? Ok. But they are 99% of time

google.com "number of millionaires in china" Ctrl+V, Enter
and their philosophy is not the same as westerners have.
who knows may be they will move forward the idea that each and every good guy in China must have a 4L, like a ring, brilliant or ferrari. I'm joking, but who knows?

Ok. This is easy for me, becuase I invested in 2008, but i don't see any idea to sell now. I will hold them along with Chinese, selling one or two each year. Each Year, Karl!

Please - gold has no end-user demand?

The "wealth effect" from bubbles is very pathetic to me. For assets like real estates, and stocks the wealth will only be in your hands if you cashed out. If everybody has the same idea and rushes for the exit than prices will collapse because they're never really real to begin with. Bubbles are borrowed prosperity that must be paid back in the future via recessions/depressions before the cycle restart again. The early players (minority) will do great but the rest are just bag holders.

Just a particle of gold is used in industry. That's I can say that domains like qxxz.com are used for websites BTW. And It will be even more close to the truth than GOLD has practical use

I understand that they are used in webpages, I am not an idiot.
But I am saying the demand is too low, for this reseller prices.

F*ck me, you are showing your ignorance right there. You think all the Chinese are clueless? And have never had internet? Huh!!
And they don't know the value of domains......um no, like I told you yesterday, this is a new game/market. You obviously don't know the value of CP's....you sold a month ago!!!

Wow, you have a lot to learn..........most of the richest people in the world are now from China.

I have not said that!!! that was sarcasm on my side.
The lovers here say that : China is just waking, they did not have internet, they are just beginning.

I always said they have had. And they also have the money.

But currently it looks like they don`t have any clue about pricing

no that was not me.
I don´t see into the future
I sold out at prices I thought where ok for me

Like I said then I say now, if someone comes and offers you $1000+ for your 100 random domains you take it. you don`t ask questions and especially if its maybe 1% of your total portfolio size
