Is it a somewhat good estimate that
chinese LLLL.com premiums are at at least $1billion value today?
Unlike Number .coms chinese premium LLLL.com boomed in value in a very short period.
Will they hold their value or is it the biggest BUBBLE ever seen in domains?

Share your thoughts please

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
have you looked at the sales charts of last years? there where almost no so called Chinese premiums in the charts.
Domeen how many 4L.com do you own, how many Chinese premium have you sold?

Up until 7 weeks ago, I had no clue what the heck they were, I never even checked my spam box.

I had to literally print out all my 4L, and circle them Chinese premium, I had about 40 of them, if it wasn't for V, I would probably have double that. I have been selling in $500 steps starting at about $1200

I have been also buying by searching after I sold, usually getting 25-30% discounting from what I sold

This week has been the greatest jump, I bought a block of names for $1100 each at the close of last week, and they basically doubled in 2 days.

At the $2,xxx range, I no longer feel comfortable buying, and will leave it to the gamblers, but will wait for that plateau to exit the rest of my names now.

Good luck to all

I don't know what the usage rate is for LLLL.com but I expect that around 20% of them are used by end user businesses. Probably, another 1-2% a year goes to them at $1K-50K range with median/average being more in $2K-5K range (before the CP rage). So around 5000-10000 domains x 2K-5K = $10M -$50M. Minus renewals of around $4M. So yes, LLLL.com is a sustainable business with or without the CP rage.

When ChiPs reach a floor of $2500-$3000 ... maybe the random 4L will start getting more interest and quickly jump to a floor of $300.

I look at recent sales of random 4L and boy they only go for $250 and up already. I think NamePros is currently the worst marketplace for 4L. It was the opposite not too long ago.

How do you say somehing like that? You know any mathematics?
160 000 total CHinese premiums total 456790 4 letters, that leaaves 300000 non premiums
Now you say 160000 total worth 480 000 000 , and all other together 90 000 000

I understand you.
But do you get , why the prices are going up? because of that you buy at $1100 and then sell to next one for profit. But you see looks like $2000+ is the place where some guys don`t buy anymore. where do they sell then? they want to make profit too
I mean in august you could have gotten 10 for that money. And you didn`t, and now you simply bump the prices up and up and up..

I really hope the Chinese investors start chasing the non premium, and drive those ones up, I will be a seller all day long at $1000, but so will many others. Heck many are happy selling at $250, so their is a huge gap to fill, but any Chinese buyer/broker I talk to turns their nose at anything with vowels.

I had 40 of these sitting in my account in August, I had no clue what they were, other than 4L.com, I mean Chinese Premium is out there now, every domainer knows. I am happy to own the 40 for $100 or less.

I only buy now if I sell 10 for $2000, and can backfill a few which I did via godaddy for $1500, then I can take that risk, as I still have $500 in my pocket either way.

I don't understand your point.

Explain me, why 160 000 withhout aiuove, worth more then 300000 domains that have the letters in them?
Whats so special about Chinese premiums? so they $3000 and normal $200 ? All stats show that non premiums sell better to end-users etc..
