Is it a somewhat good estimate that
chinese LLLL.com premiums are at at least $1billion value today?
Unlike Number .coms chinese premium LLLL.com boomed in value in a very short period.
Will they hold their value or is it the biggest BUBBLE ever seen in domains?

Share your thoughts please

someone pointed out in some other thread

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulip_mania
Tulip mania reached its peak during the winter of 1636โ€“37, when some bulbs were reportedly changing hands ten times in a day. No deliveries were ever made to fulfil any of these contracts, because in February 1637, tulip bulb contract prices collapsed abruptly and the trade of tulips ground to a halt.[29] The collapse began in Haarlem, when, for the first time, buyers apparently refused to show up at a routine bulb auction. This may have been because Haarlem was then at the height of an outbreak of bubonic plague. While the existence of the plague may have helped create a culture of fatalistic risk-taking that allowed the speculation to skyrocket in the first place, this outbreak might also have helped to burst the bubble.[30]

now read and think a little

Can I ask a question to the group. How do other Chinese digital assets compare? NNNN.com? any others? How long have they been trading? How stable are they? This may give us a little bit of insight into how these other CN pattern buyouts may

Let's keep the thread on-topic please about short domains in the LLLL.com Chinese bubble and stop any personal attacks / off-topic debates.

Thanks,

Interesting data. Thanks for the snapshot. I think the next 60 days will be very telling.

A quote from the same post comments......

This is a valid argument from a western point of view, and you are probably right. On the other side, don't forget chinese market and our (my) lack of knowledge about it. You should join chinese Wechat groups. I did it. There's an impressive activity in 6N, 7N and even longer domains (with patterns) and not only in .com. I feel that there's a real market and we simply don't get it.

Exactly!!!

It's my comment :)

Godaddy and SEDO were both rock solid at $2k+ today.
Namejet again just leaves you speechless with the results in:

xtqy.com $2,209.00 11/11/2015 NameJet
prtw.com $2,169.00 11/11/2015 NameJet
pgrr.com $2,263.00 11/11/2015 NameJet
pftt.com $2,350.00 11/11/2015 NameJet
ctgr.com $2,263.00 11/11/2015 NameJet

For those who keep saying namejet isn't a good example because of it being an expiring platform etc. so the results are skewed like with dropcatch/pheenix, I can tell you that some results are from public auctions as I was personally monitoring them.

This market is booming!

Chaomi.cc tracks sales on Chinese sites. Specifically, I think they track the sales on eName and 22.cn. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

LLLLSales is almost all Western/US sites, except I think they do track 4.cn, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of volume there (at 4.cn) for the most part.

There is a lot of volume on the sites Chaomi tracks from what I have seen.

There are a trainload of LLLL.com ending in the next 48 hours across multiple platforms - many of which ending in the $2K-$2.5K range. I think we will be heading in uncharted $2.5K-$3K territory within 3 weeks or less.

4 letters is not a bubble. 26^4, 457k is a small number.
Considering only a small percentage left to be registered, so never a bubble. :)

5-letter,... don't know. 11 million... still absorbable. (Whether it worth the holding, is another story)

I mean, there are 7 billion population on the earth.
.com still leading statistically, 50.2% among all TLDs.
(The 2nd place,.net, trail far behind at only 4.8%.)
If only 0.2% population interested in .com, or, every 500 living person on earth, in other words, there's one person who needs a .com for its company or personal use, then it's not a bubble.
We are still evolving, many youngsters still rely on social medias like FB and don't own a .com or a website.
There might be a day where everyone has his / her own domain.

When people starting to chase for all non-meaningful 6-letter, 308.9 million, then it could well be a BUBBLE!

Many are actually closer to $2.5k with time to spare on the auctions.
Some are also public auctions like fgyx.com at godaddy (already at $2.2k with 5 hours left etc.)

$2.5k floor may be closer then we realise at this rate.
Time will tell how long this massive jump up will keep going at this rate before easing off but right now it's in full swing IMO.

At this rate, I can see the floor hitting $2.5K in a weeks time.

Among the next batch of LLLL that are ending:

ygtw.com - at $2900 (GD - 10mins to go)
hhsj.com - at $3999 (GD - 25mins left)
phsb.com - at $2125 (GD - 40mins left)
nnlw.com - $2225 (GD - 4hrs left)

The floor looks incredibly close to $2.5k now, never mind in weeks time:

hhsj.com $5,009.00 11/12/2015 GoDaddy
phsb.com $2,425.00 11/12/2015 GoDaddy
ygtw.com $3,050.00 11/12/2015 GoDaddy
hghy.com is $2.1k at godaddy with 3 hours left.
fgyx.com is $2.2k at godaddy with 4 hours left.
bkxc.com is $2k at godaddy with 4 hours left.
etc.

Goodness knows what the floor will be on namejet when results come in later.

More data is needed to be sure $2.5k is the floor, but if the above is anything to go by i'm losing track of where the floor is by the hour.

Just this Monday, seller asking 1200-1250 for their ChiP were seen as crazy and did not have much interest for their domain.

Now, few days later anything below 1750 is a real steal and people are jumping on them like zombies on human flesh.

Any ChiP below 2000 is a good buy today. It will result in a minimum net profit of 20-25% in less than 2 weeks.
